Ravić left us the moment we stepped into the castle.
"I'm going ahead to see Father," Ravić said the moment the large double doors creaked open. "Take Rosie to my old room, assuming it's still intact."
Rayna rolled her eyes. "Barely a minute in and he's already barking orders."
"I'll go with him," Sebastian added, vanishing down towards the same corridor Ravić had disappeared off to.
"I have some things to work on, in my office," Angelo muttered, placing a kiss on his wife's cheek before disappearing off somewhere himself without so much as a second glance back.
Rayna sighed. "Well I guess it's just you and me, then. Would you like a castle tour?"
I shrugged. "Sure, I guess."
It's not like we know what we should be doing either.
"Let's head off to the kitchen first," she said, pulling my arm. "You must be hungry, I'm parched."
My legs stayed rooted on the ground, just as my eyes drift upward, drawn to the soaring arched ceilings above us.
