Horan wasn't surprised that when he came back, Zixuan wasn't in the room. But he still had hope, which the enigma didn't hesitate to extinguish.
He spotted the other reason why he came back—his wallet.
He picked it up and flipped it open. He was searching for one of his cards.
Only to realize his golden card was gone.
He furrowed his brows in confusion. He didn't remember giving anyone that card.
And he hardly used it.
A smirk slipped onto his lips. "Zixuan."
Just then, his phone rang in his pocket.
He took it out and glanced at the screen.
"Mom."
It was his mom calling.
He stared at it for a few seconds before sliding his finger across the screen to answer.
"Yeah?"
"Haoran! Good—you picked up. Come home. We're having family dinner. Your elder brother is also here. If you're not here in two minutes, I'll tell your dad to punish you. You know how much he adores me."
