Smallville High School.
News of Jino throwing a Dance Party spread like wildfire throughout the campus.
"Hey, did you hear? That rich kid is throwing a party?"
"Oh my god, I can't imagine how lively it'll be."
"Someone said there will be expensive food and good wine!"
Almost everyone was talking about the Dance Party.
What these high schoolers cared about even more was: who got an Invitation? And who wasn't qualified to attend the Dance Party?
In the minds of these high schoolers, campus popularity had already been linked to Dance Party eligibility.
On the school playground at this moment, Clark and Pete were surrounded by a crowd.
"Please, Pete, I think I need that Invitation~" A curvy girl winked at Pete, gazing expectantly at the stack of Invitations.
The crowd was noisy, like hundreds of flies buzzing around.
"Oh my god!" Pete couldn't help but groan, saying to Clark beside him, "I suspect Jino anticipated this, which is why he made us do this."
Pete complained, "And he himself went to buy a party dress with Chloe."
Clark, however, had no time to mind Pete's complaints. He was standing with Lana Lang, responsible for registering attendees, and even though he was dizzy with busyness, he felt sweet and bubbly.
After parting ways with Jino, Clark immediately found Lana Lang and sought help from his goddess.
Lana Lang then gave Clark an idea: first, count how many people wanted to attend, and then conduct a second screening to confirm the list.
"Hey, excuse me, can I sign up?"
A gentle voice rang out. Clark looked up to see a slightly overweight girl standing timidly in the crowd.
She wore a purple shirt and baggy jeans, and when she lowered her head slightly, it created a double chin.
This was undoubtedly a fat girl, and her shifty eyes indicated her insecurity.
"Wow, what do we have here?" In the crowd, a high schooler holding a basketball mocked, "A whale actually wants to attend a celebrity banquet?"
"What are you going to do there? Perform a whale-swallowing act?"
Before he finished speaking, the crowd burst into laughter.
Clearly, people's joys and sorrows are not interconnected.
"Hey, don't talk about her like that!" Pete couldn't stand it anymore. He glared at the basketball boy and threatened, "If you cause trouble again, I won't give you an Invitation!"
Hearing Pete's threat, the basketball boy shrugged and turned his head, "Wow, I didn't know you liked fat girls."
"Hahaha!"
Another burst of laughter, and this time, the mocking gazes and sneers from the crowd were like sharp swords piercing the fat girl's heart. She covered her face and quickly moved away from the playground.
"Julie!" Pete wanted to go after her and ask how the girl was, but the next second, another group of people surrounded him, asking for Invitations.
"Wuwuwu!"
Julie didn't know how she got home. She ran into her room and threw herself onto her bed, crying bitterly.
"Nobody likes me, I'm just a big fat pig!"
Tears streamed down the girl's chubby cheeks, soaking her pillow. As if exhausted from crying, Julie slowly sat up, her eyes filled with determination:
"No, I'm going to lose weight!"
She rushed out of her room and went to her family's vegetable garden.
The girl squatted down and pulled out some green vegetables from the garden.
She had a plan in mind: juice these vegetables and replace her daily food with them.
"These annoying stones."
The girl held the green stones mixed in the dirt and threw them into the trash can.
After doing all this, Julie carried the vegetables into the kitchen.
Buzz!
The juicer blended the vegetables into a thick, green liquid.
Julie took a deep breath, looked at the astringent green liquid in the glass, closed her eyes, and drank it all in one gulp.
She smacked her lips, wiped the vegetable residue from the corners of her mouth, and mumbled, "I hope this helps me lose weight."
Another morning, chubby Julie woke up from her sleep. She rubbed her eyes, put on her shoes, and began the first thing she did every morning—weighing herself.
She stepped lightly onto the scale, and as the red numbers on the scale changed, Julie was surprised to find that she had lost weight!
"This is amazing!"
The girl excitedly walked to the mirror. She gently lifted her nightgown, and her formerly bloated belly visibly slimmed down at a speed she could see, even revealing an attractive Abdominal Definition.
Her unsightly double chin had also disappeared, and her thick thighs had slimmed down a size.
"This, this is incredible!" Julie excitedly clenched her fists. The feeling of getting thinner intoxicated her.
Next, she started wondering why she had lost weight.
"That's right, it was that vegetable juice!" Julie's eyes lit up, and she dashed barefoot downstairs.
If, if she had lost weight, maybe she would be eligible to get an Invitation to the Dance Party from Pete!
Luthor Manor.
At the dining table.
"You're hosting a Dance Party tonight?" Lex speared a piece of omelet and put it in his mouth.
"Of course, this manor is too quiet; it should be livelier." Jino raised an eyebrow, took a sip of his favorite milk, and asked, "Do you want to come? I can send you an Invitation."
"No thanks." Lex picked up a napkin and elegantly wiped the corners of his mouth. "I plan to establish an agricultural alliance locally to reverse the company's losses and, incidentally, shut that vampire up."
"Oh, right." Lex seemed to remember something and stared at Jino. "Have you found a dance partner yet?"
"Yeah, a girl from the local high school."
Lex smiled and said, "Lucky girl."
"So, half of the two hundred Invitations have already been sent out?"
At school, Jino put his arm around Clark's neck and teased, "Let me guess, is Lana Lang on the guest list?"
"Hey, Jino, don't say that." Clark stammered, not directly answering. "Lana Lang has such a warm and outgoing personality; she deserves to be at the party."
As they were talking, Chloe and Pete appeared out of nowhere.
"You won't believe it!" Chloe exclaimed excitedly, glancing at a despondent Pete. "Someone actually likes Pete!"
"Hey!" Pete yelped, "I'm a great guy, alright?!"
"Oh? Which girl?" Jino raised an eyebrow. "Did you give her an Invitation?"
"Y-yes, I did." Pete rubbed his cheeks. "I can't believe my eyes. That girl, Julie, was still very heavy yesterday, but this morning when she asked if she could be my dance partner, she had already lost a whole size."
"She's like a slightly plump beauty now," Chloe said, arms crossed, speaking Pete's thoughts for him, but there was confusion in her eyes. "But I can't imagine anything that would make someone lose a whole size in just one night."
Clark didn't have as many concerns; he just smiled and patted Pete's shoulder. "Not bad, congrats."
