The audience had finally recovered from Ana's video performance. The team was impressed as they finally saw something in this world that they had never seen in their own world. Realizing even though this world was behind in some things it had its own uniqueness. Even BlaD's mind was opened with Ana catching his interest in a way she never expected. Steel spotted this knowing that if she grew their feelings for each other she could remove BlaD from the competition for Tsukasa.
The boss soon wiped tears from her eyes looking proud at Ana. She soon came up to the podium again. She quickly made her next introduction," Now from someone elegant to someone very cruel. He will be in charge of logistics and data gathering for the team. He has experience working with many professional teams in many different sports around the world."
The boss took a breather and then continued saying," He has an extensive resume in the sport itself and will be helping the team succeed in the Freestyle Running scene. He is the infamous Yuto Nobunaga the tactical demon." A man who looked devilish yet smart wearing a bright orange suit came up on the podium. He smiled a devil's smile saying," Hello my pawns you might not know it, but under my gaze, I will open your mind to possibilities you will use to attain victory you never thought possible."
He then frowned and announced," I promise you will be the world champions by the end of this year. I have no doubt about this, because I will do every possible thing under the three goddesses green earth to make sure of it. Now if you have a problem with that you will soon change your mind for I see all of you want to win as much as I do. Now let's get things started shall we?" Soon the room became silent as even his presence had an evil that made the team react differently from one another.
Vic was used to over eccentric coaches and coordinators in his past, while Mama was proud of his devotion to the team. Gray was excited to see what they could come up with together, liking what he's heard so far about him. Rose was cautious as she had already dealt with bad people before, and GW didn't like how mean he seemed. Rain hated how dishonorable he sounded, and Lily liked the competitive edge. ImP saw he wasn't joking and was shocked, and Spice agreed with everything he just said.
Steel nodded knowing that's how it should be, while BlaD could not care less. Sweets was excited about getting things started, and Jo agreed with his philosophy as well. Norn was chilling being fine with whatever, and KiWi was laughing maniacally jumping around agreeing with whoever she saw was her new strategist. Even some of the staff felt differently about him, but they trusted Mina's decision in hiring him. He soon stepped off the podium and left the room not caring as he had work to do.
Yuto Nobunaga POV:
I had seen the tryouts for the team days ago. It had shown me the possibilities with this team, as even though each is different from one another, they each had something special that could be used to succeed. I am currently the head of logistics and data for this organization. At first, I was a trainer for Uma Musume, but the difference I had with others was that I was considered a cruel psychopath willing to do anything to win. I played dirty, I cheated, and I even sabotaged in order to win. This led to disagreements with both my enemies and my allies.
It resulted in me either being kicked off teams or my Uma Musume leaving me. Which I never understood, because I asked everyone what they were willing to do. They all answered anything, but I guess that was a lie. It seems the moment things get into the realm of sabotage and unsportsmanlike behavior they all buckle in guilt. How pathetic.
Soon I was looking for a job as no one would hire me because no one wants someone who would do absolutely anything to win. I switched sports, I switched from coaching to coordinator, and I even went into coaching assistant just to survive. Still, these fools were too honorable and none of them could accept my intensity. Now jobless again I was working at a school as a gym teacher. That's when my future boss, whom I just didn't realize it yet came in.
She scheduled a meeting between me and her and she decided to headhunt me for her team. She was from Europe from a cutthroat business family and she liked how cutthroat I was. She soon showed me a sport called free-style running and I was very intrigued. Especially in obstacle running so much violence and bloody strategies. While Relay and mixed opened my mind to possibilities for victory.
I was interested, but I'm smart enough to get benefits for myself. I wanted players and coaches who were as merciless and ruthless as I was. I wanted to be part of a team as long as if not caught would do anything to win. She agreed, but her limits are not to make her lose money and not get them kicked out of the league. I smiled and soon I became the team's head of logistics and data gathering.
My strategies and data finding methods are not held back by anyone anymore, I soon got to work and met my fellow colleagues. I saw that each had their own independence and will to succeed. Then I saw the team, Victory Gate, Endless Journey, Imperial Punk, and Norn Viking are adaptable and free-thinking. Edged Lily, Steel Valkyrie, Mama Blues, High Spice, and Black Diamond were endlessly competitive and very ruthless. While Great Wonder, Tyrant Rose, and Enduring Rain will endure anything and are kind, but will overlook things as long as you don't do the things directly in front of them.
Finally Sweet Pollen and Tactical Gray already play so dirty it's a natural instinct to them without them thinking it's wrong. I found out this data by watching them all race and train. I soon after got more data from Endless Journey and Dr. Takazuna. I saw their weights, health conditions, heights, and body structure. With their observed play styles it was time to strategize.
First up on the data set is Imperial Punk who is between everyone in ability, she's 5'5 in height. She's not the best anything, but not the worst, a perfect Swiss Army Knife. High Spice is next and standing at 5'3 in height she is the team's shortest player. Still, she has insane stamina, endurance, pacing, and explosive strength making her a perfect weapon in marathon-length runs. Norn Viking is next and she is flexible and adaptable with insane creativity to run.
With a height of 5'9, she is perfect for most strategies and tracks. Next is Edged Lily standing at 5'10 she is the second star on the team. She is also the most environmentally available in any weather. Perfect for any weather situation, and the most competitive on the team. Then there's Great Wonder standing at 5'11 an amazing physical specimen able to run at any distance.
The catch she's too nice and polite stifling her amazing potential, I really need to find a way to turn her kindness off. Then after is Steel Valkyrie and standing at 6'1 even I'm intimidated. She is the team's strongest and should never be insulted or made to quit the team. She has no weaknesses or drawbacks, and her desire to win is insane, I love it. Next is Endless Journey, and I have never met an athlete so brilliant and strategically intelligent.
She stands at 5'11 like Great Wonder, and is incredibly physically amazing at most things. Still, she does her own thing, most of the time not caring about the strategies of others as she always has a better one. Then there's Tactical Gray athletic, and plays dirty my kind of player. She is 5'6 and is smart in a strategic way, and holds almost no morals in order to succeed. Still, she is the least talented in the team, but not the one you want to mess with.
After is Mama Blues she is incredibly speed-focused and is a front runner. Still standing at 5'7 she is bad at strategy, and is really easy to block if she gets out of the gate late. She practices getting out of the gate early and escaping the crowd, but she still needs to work on strategy. Next is King Wild is described Insane Speed, because she is fast and she is crazy. She is 5'4 and cares little about strategy, her own or what her opponents use against her.
She prefers to sprint through every track and has the speed, stamina, and endurance to do it at any distance. Still, if you try to tell her to do otherwise she will attack you like a feral dog. After is Enduring Rain she is the tallest and most durable on the team. She is 6'2 in height and hates underhanded strategies. She prefers straight-up enduring the strategies of others and still winning anyway.
Still training strategies to get better, she loves those and thinks strategies ought to be that way instead. Next is Black Diamond a sportsman and an artist. She stands at 5'7 and is a very fast being strategic sprinter willing to do anything to win. Still, her greater interest is music, so she has to be trained in her own schedule which I'll leave to the coach. After is Tyrant Rose someone I can describe as absolutely untouchable.
I can recognize trauma anywhere and I'm told to keep my mouth shut as they don't trust my opinion on it. Standing at 5'8 she is agile and quick with the ability to escape many situations. Still, if you don't want to be humiliated don't try to touch her, and thank goodness she is very open to strategy. Still, her weakness for terrain change is terrible as she is worse in dirt than turf is bad, we can limit that fortunately. After that is Sweet Pollen a girl after my own heart.
She plays rough, and dirty, as well as loves pulling pranks on opponents before races. Her pranks were practically sabotage and she makes dirty play look fun and lovable. She is now my daughter and I will treat her as so. She is 5'6 and seems to have a thing going on with Tyrant Rose, how dare that Playboy touch my little girl? Moving on the last is the team captain Victory Gate.
She stands exactly at 6'0 and is the most adaptable in any situation. She can change her strategy and style depending on her and her opponent's strategies and abilities. She also does this outside of matches being a perfect leader able to adapt to any situation. Still, if you can convince her to go with a plan then the rest of the team might consider it, that's how much influence and trust she has within the team. This team is full of characters brimming with different types of abilities.
Now it's my turn to hone their minds to face the world. I soon got to the day of the speech and announced what my intentions were. Then I went back in line waiting for the others to do theirs. Honestly, everyone before me so far has been insane in their own way. I then waited for the work to begin after this.
A Few Hours Later
After my speech today I started going back to work. That's when in front of my office I see both Tactical Gray and Enduring Rain waiting for me. Tactical Gray seems to be out of her straitjacket and holding a laptop. She was busy using it until Enduring Rain tapped her shoulder and she looked up and saw me. She smiled a sweet smile, causing me to not see Enduring Rain get behind me and soon I realized I was surrounded by both of them.
Tactical Gray calmly began speaking," Hello Mr. Nobunaga you know who we are, and I have to say you can calm down the dumbass is here to protect you if I get too out of control. Sent here by the leader herself because Rain barely listens to me in the first place. Still, she doesn't like you, but I very much do. You see I agree with everything you have announced up there on that podium. I even looked you up on the internet and through sources I made friends with online."
I gulped and tried to speak before she made me walk backward towards the wall by just calmly walking towards me. She spoke again saying," Ah no talking just listening. You see what I found out about you is that you are a scoundrel who's messed with a lot of his opponents and isn't afraid to play dirty. They hate you because they even told me in detail what they saw as egregious sins you had committed in the sports they loved. What I saw was a bunch of pathetic childish pranks, so allow me to show you what I think needs to happen."
That's when she punched the wall so hard that it made a hole in the wall. Rain tried to say something but Tactical Gray stopped her and I finally saw the steel bike chain she wrapped around her hand I didn't notice while she spoke. She made the hole easily with no effort at all making me remember how strong Uma Musume really are, even untalented ones like Tactical Gray. She then continued speaking as she put her chained fist near my face," You see Mr.Nobunaga I need you to live up to your namesake and be more ruthless. What I've seen so far might as well be childish pranks from a school boy that offended a bunch of idiots."
She then continued saying," Mr.Nobunaga I'm going to say this once so listen up. Step it the fuck up. I'm serious step it the fuck up. Here no one will stop you not if I have anything to say about it, and if you do somehow go too far we'll say something." She then got close to me face to face-to-face as she looked me in the eye showing me that she was absolutely serious and completely ruthless.
She then continued again saying," I hope I made myself clear darling." I nodded nervously as I felt how deadly serious she was being. That's when the pressure went away as Enduring Rain lifted Tactical Gray, put Tactical Gray on her shoulders, and began walking away saying," Okay that's enough Gray you threatened him enough and it seems your message has been delivered so now why don't we leave the guy alone for now?" Tactical Gray then got embarrassed squirming and saying," Put me down you dumb brute, goddamn it, you know what see you again later Nobunaga, I hope to see results in the future. I'll be visiting often to see what you have planned."
They both left as fast as they appeared. It seems I got my wish and worse as now I have someone more evil than I am. I smiled soon knowing now that I can go all out. Still, if it's still not good enough I can at least use Tactical Gray's romantic feelings for Enduring Rain against her. I then called the repair crew to fix the wall Tactical Gray had made and went back to work. Seeing what Gray did has inspired me to explore new possibilities.
