Alpha Lucien followed the man in silence. As he walked, he ignored the bowed heads that greeted him at every turn. Word of his presence had spread through the hospital like wildfire, and those who had never seen him before peered anxiously from their wards, hoping he might pass by.
The elevator stopped at the final floor, a level reserved solely for the Alpha and his family. The director led him into a spacious room, designed more like a luxurious bedroom than a hospital ward.
Inside, four male doctors and two female doctors stood waiting, tense and alert.
"These are our hospital's finest specialists," Soren murmured, gesturing toward the assembled team, each with their head bowed in reverence at the sight of Alpha Lucien.
The Alpha strode into the room, stopping in front of the lined-up doctors. He said nothing at first, merely studying each face with piercing scrutiny.
"If there's anyone here who can't keep a secret," Alpha Lucien began coldly, "step out of the room now."
