For some reason, they definitely weren't there for a fight.
While I was saying that, a serpent with dark, hypnotizing eyes and killer venom—huge as a building—ate half the land from underground. The guards were eaten by it.
That's when I knew: they were sacrifices for the demons.
The moment the demons ate them, they got a signal: "Kill them all."
Rajin used the speaker and said:
"Attention, Kurai. Someone is flying over there with unspoken speed and will arrive in 10 minutes.
He is the descendant of Lord Alistair—the one you said is the head of everyone that old man.
You must teleport in 10 minutes. No—it's already 7 minutes."
After that, the demons came flying—three of them, huge as the serpent.
They were so furious. I thought, "This is gonna turn bad.
Damn, should I use the magic attacks I know and kill them all? But then what if Alistair's brat gets to us? Besides, will I even be able to teleport everyone?"
When the serpent attacked me and almost reached me, I stood and said, "I guess there's no other choice."
Just as I was about to act, a wolf—bigger than mine, shining bright with lightning in its eyes—stood before me. It barked like a German Shepherd, and the serpent blew up into pieces.
From the other side, a lion came—flames in its eyes, huge, with fire burning in its mane.
It stood next to the wolf. And in front, in the middle, a shadow monster (like a reaper with a scythe) stood before them. On its head, David was standing.
He said, "I told you I'd pull it off."
I said, "Go take them down."
We all ran out of the building. He chased the demons—even into the sky.
The three tamed beasts ran through the battlefield like it was pure grassland. He defeated them all.
But when he was about to return to us, something fast—bright as sunlight itself—took him and disappeared.
It stood behind us, up in the sky. We turned around.
A human, shining and smiling, stood there. He said, "Nobody moves even an inch, or they're dead.
" Then he said to me, "What's your name?"
I said, "I've got nothing to say to worthless shit like you."
He smirked. "Yeah, well, whatever. But why are you… demon? No, you're human. But still demon?"
Lyra already knew about this. I'm glad I told her.
Then, in a second, I teleported in his face and punched.
But he was fast—he dodged even teleportation.
I did my very best, but I couldn't land a single hit.
He caught me by the hair, punched me, and threw me to the ground.
He struck me with a light spear, and I fell, rolling.
He said, "Nobody moves."
But Lyra ran, catching me with her tree magic. Crying, she used healing magic on me.
Then she kissed me.
Everyone was shocked but didn't say a word.
Until Rajin himself appeared in the sky.
Low-key, it was awesome.
He came down with thunderclouds forming out of nowhere, the sky darkening, his voice echoing.
He said, "Thunder Rain."
Lightning strikes began destroying the place, shooting randomly.
Theo and Rajin began to fight. Rajin created flash thunders, firing them relentlessly.
Theo dodged, creating lightning spears and attacking.
Rajin used Thunder Speed, passing through all the spears and punching him—but he didn't land a clean hit. Alistair dodged.
All of this was happening in the sky, and we were all watching—what a true fight looks like.
And yet, the eight of us are called the strongest.
I woke up. Lyra looked at me straight and said, "I'm glad you're alive."
I said, "I'm sorry, Lyra, but I'm more focused on surviving right now."
She said, "Look at me." And kissed me.
"I was about to die when he stabbed you," she whispered.
I hugged her and said, "I love you." Then I told her, "We'll be separated for a long time.
Are you sure you can wait for me?"
She said, "I'm more than happy to wait for you."
I kissed her. Behind us, Rajin and Theo were fighting a life-and-death battle, light and lightning flashing—making our last kiss fascinating.
I walked with her to the others and told everyone to give me a high five.
After they did, I teleported into the sky and told Rajin to do the same.
Suddenly, he landed on the ground and said, "My body… it's disappearing.
No—it's teleporting. But I don't have enough mana.
My body needs to replenish first, or I might get into serious trouble."
I said, "What can I do to help him?
I have to beat him—he's the only one who's shamed me in a fight.
But wait… is he going to fight Theo alone?"
Yosuke said, "What is he doing? At this rate, he might not even teleport himself."
Everyone was shocked.
Dante said, "Are we teleporting? I guess."
I raised myself, flying upward like they did. Theo saw me. I went higher—above the clouds.
Looking down at him, I said:
"Falling Light. Falling Judgment. Catastrophe."
A huge astronaut made of light appeared.
Thoe said, "That was used by one of the legendary light magic users! You're using Star-Level Light Magic—the strongest!"
Then he realized—"Wait… you're not using Star-Level. It's Moon-Level!"
It was getting late. The moon appeared. I made my dream come true—standing in a T-pose.
The moment the dark clouds disappeared, hundreds of thousands of lights gathered behind me.
I fired them all.
Alistair's brat Theo used all his mana, running as fast as he could—breaking his limits to escape.
They eventually got teleported.
The whole land—200 km around—was wiped out. Nothing remained but magma.
Sadly, I was so weak that I fell with the attack.
They teleported. Rajin checked my signal—he didn't find it.
"Does that mean he's dead?"
Lyra lost her sanity. Everyone was devastated. David began to cry.
Rajin told them about my plan:
How I teleported 67 people to their homes.
How I saved them.
How I contacted David as Kenji, so he will help and get along.
How I made Jian and Mei join them, teaching each other.
"He was a really awesome kid," Rajin said. "When we talked, I felt him.
It surprised me when he said he was into the same things as me."
They were separated into eight different kingdoms, becoming famous and training relentlessly.

One year later…
A strong, flashy guy stood in the middle of a dead desert, watching serpents and earthworms approach him.
He sighed. "What a shame.
These monsters are demons?
Nah—in my opinion, they should be called animals or insects, if not for their size.
Well, I better finish them all here and now."
He cracked his knuckles.
"My name is Delta. And I am a fragment of Kurai."
After what happened, I never really thought I would just die because I used up my last mana to teleport at least somewhere safer from the explosion.
Seeing it from far away made me wonder—was I the one who caused it at the well? Whatever.
I'm never pulling off such an attack again. Even if I wanted to, I can't.
Well, then I ended up in a land filled with bones, skulls, and dead creatures scattered around.
I think I wasn't able to move from that place—not to mention, I'm still on demon land.
While I was struggling, a robot armor—about five of them—floated around me in the sky and automatically began sending attacks.
I was trying to run, but all I was doing was pushing myself to move.
Then, just when I thought I was dead, underground serpent demons appeared and defended me.
There was only one at first, but it eventually used something called "budding," and here they are, defending me.
The type of serpent protecting me is one with no eyes.
They carried me in, and I started doubting if I was even alive.
But it all makes sense. I used up all my mana, which caused mana break—meaning I can't use my mana anymore.
But that only worsens on the positive side.
Of course, there is a way to cure it, because mana is mana.
The problem is the cells over my body that replenish used-up mana.
So yeah, but what matters now is that I have negative mana—mana that only demons and certain creatures can use.
This definitely means the serpents don't know I'm human with demon mana, and that's why they're saving me.
Surprisingly enough, this desert has over a thousand demons, and almost all of them are underground demons.
Underground demons with eyes are rare, which means I can at least last a while.
But what about hearing and smelling? Well, mana is replenished and reused by all the cells in my body, which means the type of mana I use affects my scent.
For the hearing part, it doesn't matter as long as I'm good at controlling my heartbeat.
Well, thanks serpent for saving me. I'm gonna stay here for a while.
Wait—where the heck did this serpent bring me? It brought me underground. Let's see what's in there.
One of the last survivors said it must have been thrown from the underground well.
I went in and saw a circle thing—it has eyes and is purple. Wait, it's a slime!
But the moment I touched it, it shocked the hell out of me.
If it wasn't for my human side, I would have definitely died.
The place is actually the most terrifying place ever.
There are bones and scary things written all over the place—I can't read them. Whatever.
