Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 : slime king

"And guess what? You're immune to moonlight. That's your gift."

"You can absorb moonlight into your blood. That's your energy source."

"I call it... Blood Moon Art."

They nodded.

Some even smiled.

You see, vamps are obsessed with blood—so much that they don't even notice how deep it runs. They never consider alternatives to their own nature.

---

The next day, I focused on other blood types.

Blood Type A

I said,

"Type A vamps are gifted with control—mind power, shadows, stealth."

"You'll be our Shadow Manipulators—specialized in mental control. That means stunning, knocking enemies unconscious, or taking over their minds without bloodshed."

"Less cost. Less sacrifice. Clean victory."

Pair that with elemental manipulation, and they're deadly.

---

Blood Type B

"You guys," I said, "are our physical beasts."

"You're born tanks. Strongest bodies. Weaponized warriors."

"So tomorrow, I want everyone interested in weapons and forging powerful gear to meet me."

---

The Next Day: Weapon Design with Blood Spells

I addressed the weapon specialists.

"Every weapon must be sealed with a spell from both sides: poison and anti-poison."

"During battle, a weapon-user can create 'Blood Poison' from an enemy's type."

"By cutting themselves with their own blade—just a nick—they can take a drop of blood and use it to produce a counter-poison or targeted poison instantly."

"It'll take less than a minute… and you'll have the upper hand."

---

Blood Mud Units

Later, I gathered the war generals.

"You're blood manipulators," I said. "Now we're going to take it further."

"Create Blood Mud."

"It's a creature—like giant golems—but born from thickened blood and infused with rage."

"What it devours first determines its core behavior."

"Feed it raw power, and it'll crave destruction. Feed it energy, and it'll seek sources of it. Make it a monster… and let it hunt."

They were fascinated.

They began experiments right away.

Soon, even Lightning Blood and Flame Veins were being discovered. New power branches. The army evolved fast.

But power wasn't the only thing I cared about.

What mattered most to me…

was their will to fight.

---

Shadow Assassins

Eventually, they even formed assassins trained in Shadow Style—expert spies sent to infiltrate other kingdoms.

They had discipline.

They had purpose.

---

In truth, I helped him—Valen—because I needed to save my own mana.

We made a fair deal. I gave him power and innovation.

And in return, I got time to live.

I'll stay in this kingdom for a long while…

until the next war comes.

Sigma: Entry Log – The Fourth One

It's me—Sigma, the fourth.

I sent Delta to infiltrate the Arab Kingdom… but he got captured and enslaved.

Sad, but useful. While they were distracted with him, I activated Dash Run and made my move.

Surprisingly, the Arab and Korean Kingdoms are connected—like a curved bridge—but in between that curve… lies Demon Land. I sprinted around the outer edge, where it's straight, avoided demon territory, and slipped into the Korean Kingdom.

Damn.

The world really brought back memories of the old days in Asia.

---

At first, I tried to find a part-time job.

But screw that—I'm Sigma, the one who brings income for all four of us.

So, I figured…

Why not become a Hunter?

That's how I ended up inside an unauthorized dungeon.

Good thing I have the power of thinking.

The monsters?

Just goblins.

Weak as always. Slash, dash, done.

The Goblin King was the only challenge. But I finished him too, and guess what?

Dungeon Cleared.

I leveled up and found a reward item:

A mask—one that grants invisibility for 5 minutes.

But here's the twist:

Once I wear it, it sticks to my face like skin—even my eyelashes pass through it.

No seams. No trace. Just a flawless second skin. It even came with a black cloak.

Perfect.

But I knew…

If the government finds out I entered an illegal dungeon, they'll come after me.

---

I stepped out.

Light blinded me.

And there they were—licensed hunters, waiting.

"Where's your hunter license?" one asked.

I said nothing.

I stared.

Then jumped—Dash Run activated.

They chased me hard.

Midair, I used a technique from the old days—Swapping.

It swaps two objects or beings in space when you touch one and click-click your fingers.

Just before they could attack, I click-clicked.

Boom.

A stone appeared in front of me.

I had swapped my position with a stone I touched earlier.

Classic.

I escaped back to Demon Land, touching anything useful for future swaps.

---

Next day, I was on the news.

Famous now. Cool.

I went dungeon hunting again. Found one. Walked in.

This one?

At least a C+ class.

I walked and walked…

No monsters.

Just silence…

Then—light.

Blinding, radiant light.

I stepped forward.

White wolves. Dozens. Maybe hundreds.

Their fur glowed like the moon.

Their boss? A towering monster, majestic and terrifying.

As soon as they saw me—they shifted into attack stance.

I muttered,

"If there's no way out but through… then I guess I've got work to do."

---

I charged.

They overwhelmed me with numbers, but I kept slashing their throats.

Survival Mode: ON.

Bites tore into me from all sides.

I jumped back, breathing hard.

But they kept coming.

---

System Alert:

> Damage Inflicted: 40%

System Alert:

> Damage Reduced: 70%

Wait…

If only 30% got through… and it still did 40% damage…

Damn.

These wolves are no joke.

I was barely holding on.

My body torn, spirit flickering.
