I move around to see the screen the Catgirl is watching. On it, I can clearly see:
[Royal Bank
User: Amber
Status: BLOCKED]
Disbelief washes over me. There were a couple of millions in that account. It is hard to get a sole hundred thousand. Imagine losing 2 millions.
I clench my fist and bare my teeth.
The catgirl looks at me with clear fear.
"I-I'm sorry, miss... Maybe there is a mistake and I can try to f-fix it."
This has to be a fucking joke.
They keep stealing stuff from me. Why?! What the fuck did I do to them?!
"Hey, Amber-" Aurelia places her hand on my shoulder.
"DON'T TOUCH ME!" I scream.
The whole bank goes silent. I can feel the stares on me.
I walk out without saying a word.
I find a bench and sit on it.
I cannot wrap my head around what is happening. The princess and king were meant to be friendly with me. Now they've got a friend killed and taken everything from me.
I am sure they are expecting I would get the same destiny as Kathrina. My soul sucked until it got hollowed, and got her in the crossfire.
What is frustrating me is that I have no idea what is happening. I got stabbed, bared naked, thrown into a dungeon to fend for myself, and a friend died. And this was a stark reminder.
I was attempting to stay calm for the sake of moving, but this one made me lose control.
I only got lucky so far that I have Aurelia with me. It was simple dumb luck. Otherwise, I doubt I would have survived that dungeon.
I raise my head and look beside me. Aurelia sits with her hand behind the backrest and legs spread like she has something there.
"I repeat. I am sure I can take over town."
"Can you stop fucking around?" I am not in the mood.
Karina shifts closer.
"If she could hear me, I would be yelling at her to shut up."
I stay silent at that point. I am looking at the ground, focused on a random stone on the floor.
I check my wallet.
[Gold: 1300
Gems: 0
Golden Medals: 0]
Just the money I found in the chest from the boss monster. I hope I didn't miss or forget any chest in there.
I have a few resources that I could sell, but they will barely give me anything.
"Let's go to the temple."
Inside the temple, the worshipping hall had several rows of seats for the followers to come and pray to their deities.
In the altar, I see the statue of the three deities from the trifecta.
Ellen, the goddess of protection and hospitality; Kroneus, deity of time and knowledge; and Demisaus, goddess of death and renewal.
They were the main ones, the ones from which every other deity came. At least, the majority.
But in the temples, you can worship any of the deities, as long as it is a deity that is part of or is born from the trifecta.
"I said no!" I hear an old man yell. "You cannot go out, Lisa!"
The yelling catches my attention, and I see a young-looking woman in white and pink robes walking towards us, fuming. Her hair is brown and long, and her eyes are blue. She looks like a priest or something similar.
"Lisa! Listen to me! It doesn't matter!" Behind her, a priest catches her shoulder and tries to stop her.
"You are going to get yourself killed, girl!"
"Stop treating me like a girl, and it does matter! The holy symbol was stolen, the one given by the prophet of Demisaus!" She answers as she turns around to him.
For a moment, I thought she was approaching to attack us. Seems I was wrong.
"Listen, Lisa, I already placed a request in the Bulletin Board; someone will eventually take the job."
"It has been 4 days since you posted it, and no one comes! I am going to make them return it!"
Best to avoid the situation. She turns around and passes by me without noticing me.
But as I decide not to ask questions, she bumps against Aurelia.
"Watch it...!"
She looks up at the dragonkin.
"Hi little girl..."
"Iiiiiiiiiiihh!"
Lisa yelled in fear and fell on her butt on the ground.
Aurelia leans closer, smiling like a crazy person goes to her.
"Watch where you walk or I will-OW!"
I smack her in the back of the head with an open hand.
"Don't threaten random people," I order.
"She bumped into me!" Aurelia covers the part where I hit her. "Where I come from, that is a sign of lack of respect, and as a Tyrant I have to-Ow!"
I smack her once more on the back of her head.
"Seriously, we are not here to cause trouble."
I already have enough.
With my hand stretched, I offer Lisa help to stand up. Aurelia pouts while Karina seems amused at the situation.
"Sorry for that. We just came here to ask for the services." I say.
Lisa looks at me with obvious surprise but takes my hand and stands up. She fixes her robe.
Then she turns to the Priest.
"Father Marcus, they say they need your services."
"...then service them."
He looks annoyed.
"W-what?! B-but I am going to-!"
"Exactly. Attend to them, I have to deal with something else in the inner chambers." He turns to us and nods. "Excuse me, ladies. The Trifecta guides you two."
He turns around and moves towards one of the doors at the end of the building.
"Fiiine." She is clearly annoyed. Then inhales and turns to us, this time with a smile on her face and her hand in her chest. "Welcome, dear followers of the trifecta. How may I help you?"
Aurelia scoffs.
"I hate-ow!"
I tap her on the foot. How many times do I have to tell her to stop talking that much?!
"I have a cursed item on me, if you could please remove it?"
Lisa nods.
"Of course, just follow me to the altar."
We walk towards it, and curiosity wins me over.
"Did you get something stolen?"
"I knew you would ask," Karina says.
I just look back at her. If I start interacting with her in public, I will be called crazy.
"Yes, and that Father Marcus is not allowing me to go and hunt those thieves!"
"A-aren't you a priest?" I ask. Normally, they don't gi into combat directly.
"I have to do something! The item they stole is important!"
We reach the altar.
"Uncursing an item costs 400 Gold."
This is robbery.
"I will pay. Just remove it, please, I want to get rid of these pants."
Lisa starts to chant a prayer.
Now that I think about it, I never knew what the cursed part of these pants is. It is normally an annoyance or detrimental effect
"...and give this soul release from the evil that has befallen..." Lisa continues.
Well, it doesn't matter.
*POOOF*
Is not like I will suf-
"Huh?"
Suddenly, I find myself on top of the temple, standing beside the bell tower.
"God dammit."
The curse was teleporting at random.
