The newcomer holds his claymore over his shoulder.
"You won't escape, Amber! Turning your back to the beautiful princess Orianna, attempting to kill her!" He seems to start crying. "You were meant to be an ally of these lands! I will crush you, traitor!"
He takes a step forward.
But the sudden appearance of a dark scythe stops him.
"Where do you think you are going, scum?" Aurelia asks him.
The man looks at her, and a wide smirk appears on his mouth. "Watch it, lady, I don't want to hurt anyone else that is not the bounty!"
Please don't encourage her.
"Oh! Is that a fucking threat?!" She turns fully towards him and retracts her scythe, only to place herself in a more threatening position. "I will show you who ends up hurting!"
"I am taking zero responsibility for the destruction of this temple!" I scream.
Aurelia jumps at him, and the man defends. The moment their blades clash, a shockwave of energy comes from the point of impact. Aurelia had a wicked smile while their weapons clashed for the first time.
"She is going to destroy the whole town!" Karina says. "A-Amber, run! You are no match for him, his soul is too strong even when buffed!"
"You don't need to tell me twice!" I turn around and go to the edge.
I cast another of the spells in my repertoire. [Feather Fall], and jump down. The effect of the skill allows me to drop more slowly to the ground. It is not featherlight fall, but it does not allow my body to reach terminal velocity and kill myself by jumping from a high platform.
I fall in the garden that is on the side of the temple.
"[Blade of light]!" I hear the man's name.
"No one presents themselves anymore!" I scream.
"[Inferno]!" Aurelia screams in response to him, and I hear several explosions happening on top of the temple.
I start to run to the front, and when I turn, I see Lisa and the Father looking up.
"T-They are destroying the temple!"
"For the love of the trifecta! Please stop fighting on the top of buildings!"
Is this a common occurrence?
Lisa sees me come out from the side of the building and instantly attempts to murder me with her eyes.
"You! You will have to pay for the roof!"
"It's not my fault! My allies are crazy!" I answer. Then I question why I stopped and start to run again.
"[Holy Binds]!" She screams.
Several ropes that emit a golden light wrap around me and bind my body, making me fall to the ground.
"OUCH! Dammit!" I scream in pain, writhing, trying to release myself. "Hey! A nun with this kind of spell is too much of a stereotype!"
"Don't think you are running away! The guards are looking for you and your friend has already killed a few on this sacred floor!"
Lisa screams at me while starting to walk forward.
I look at her, completely annoyed. I just want to leave this situation.
Sadly, I don't have any skill to dispel stuff. Teleport would help right now.
Another explosion happens on the roof, and Aurelia gets thrown through the front wall, almost hitting the Father and Lisa. She drops to the ground with aggressive grace, crouching while keeping balance and ready to counter.
"Aaaah!" Both of them scream.
"Hahaha! This asshole is strong!" Aurelia seems glad.
"H-hey, idiot! We need to skip town, stop playing, and help me!"
"[Heavenly Swords of Kroneus]!" I hear the man chant from the roof.
Several swords start to appear on top of us, floating a few meters from the sky and pointing towards the ground. They cover a good portion of the front of the temple.
That is a Godly level Spell!
"[Ellen's Protection]!" I scream.
The swords fall on us in less than a second as a barrier appears on top of us.
My spell is similar to [Magic Shield], but it casts a big barrier in an area around me, used to protect several targets.
The problem is that it is a Godly Level spell, which uses too much MP. I can feel the pain coursing through my body.
[You didn't have enough MP to cast [Ellen's Protection]!]
My HP drops to 20% and I am at 0 MP. It was not worse than last time at least, and I didn't fall unconscious. My muscles hurt a lot, though.
But the swords start to fight against the barrier, magic energy starts to jump in different directions.
"Ahhhh! E-Ellen, protect us!" screams Lisa when she sees the giant swords about to hit her.
"T-that asshole is crazy!" Karina screams.
Then they explode together with the shield, which breaks like glass and falls harmlessly on us. Its capacity was enough to stop the attack, but that was close.
"Watch where you are casting spells, you idiot!" I scream at the guy.
"Ah... there are people in there. Go! I will handle this criminal!" He says.
"Y-you almost killed us, you cursed idiot!"
"T-that is not something a priest should say..." the Father points out.
"Aurelia! Take this out of the city! Don't get other people involved!"
"Got it!" She screams.
Then she runs and picks me up on her shoulder. I start kicking.
"W-what are you doing?!" I scream.
"He is after you, hold on tight!"
"I cannot, waaah!"
She jumps and starts to run through the city, trying to escape.
I see him starting to cast spells at us with his hand and then starting to give us chase through the streets.
"Halt!" Someone in front of us screams. I look back over my shoulder and see a bunch of guards and soldiers starting to form a barrier to stop us.
Aurelia chuckles and moves to the side in a sudden skip. One of the spells that the man is casting at us passes by and hits the line of soldiers, removing them from the equation.
"Thanks, fucking idiot!" Aurelia screams.
"Look what you make me do, criminals!" The man says while pursuing us.
"No one is making you attack us recklessly, damn idiot!" I scream back at him.
Aurelia, running like a bullet, managed to bring us outside of town, pushing through another line of guards.
