The king and queen were listening closely.
"In what lands are you going to ask for help." Alex said.
Humph!...
The king wasn't following the situation as the queen as well.
They weren't even sure of where this conversation was going.
Both were looking at Alex.
The room was filled with tension and unsure of what response to say.
The guards were whispering at each other.
"What is he trying to do..."
"What is he trying to prove..."
There were a lot of questions in the air.
The king remains calm, "The land of Ellan..."
Alex then said, "Ellan..."
The king nods.
Alex continued to ask once again.
"And where is this land of Ellan...?"
The king said, "It's on the east side... of Condor."
Alex nods, "Humph!... interesting."
The king wasn't sure of why he's asking an obvious question. It's like he's deliberately giving him some sort of hints.
Alex continues...
"Is there any other land. That you're gonna ask for help...?" He said.
King wasn't sure why's he asked, but he continued to answer his question. To find out where this conversation is going.
The king replied back to Alex.
"Yes... The land of Ghnarkh."
Alex response, Humph!...
Like he knew of what the king was gonna ask.
"And where is Ghnarkh located...?" Alex said.
The king responded, "It's on the west—"
At that moment...
The king halted his words carefully.
He thinks very hard of what the clues that Alex was implying.
He knew at that moment that the situation was far more complicated than he thought.
He now knows where the conversation is going. The king immediately knew of Alex hints that he's implying.
The kings thoughts, "This is absurd! If this news is true, then..."
The king's face shows hints of worries.
The queen noticed her king face was sweating and frightened expression.
The queen slowly touched her husband hand
"Is everything alright, my love...?"
She was worried about her husband.
She could not understand the situation and the hints of Alex implying.
Alex spoke once again.
"It seems like his majesty. Now, understand the terror that is coming."
The queen venomous gaze towards Alex.
"And what are you implying... Augh! And stop with the riddles...!" She hiss right back at Alex.
Alex said, "Well... Ellan and Gharkh won't send their allies to help."
Thy queen face was serious.
"And why not! Augh!?"
Alex responded back, "Instead. They are heading here very soon."
The queen smiled and was happy to hear of what he just said without realizing what he's implying.
"And here I thought you were trying to scare us. Isn't that wonderful news—"
The king's stood up once again.
The queen was suddenly taken aback by her husband sudden stand.
Humph...
The king spoke with a serious voice.
"Guards! Immediately send all forces to the gate, and sound the alarm!"
The knights stood tall and followed their order.
The guards immediately walked at a quick pace.
The queen got up with an unsure expression. She still was lost and doesn't see what is going on.
"My, love... What is wrong..." her voice was shaking and filled with unease.
The king's was more serious than ever.
"We need to evacuate immediately."
The queen said, "Whaa... why... I still don't know why we should."
The king looks back at his beloved wife.
"The boy just gives us glue. Of what might come towards our kingdom."
The queen still doesn't know what he is implying and why he is taking Alex words.
"But...he just told us that Ellen and Gharkh is marching here. Isn't that good news."
The king head shook..
"My beloved. It seems like we are not getting help from unwanted guests."
The king's slowly stood in front of Alex.
"Are you sure of what you are saying is true...?" His voice was firm.
The king wants to see if the boy, right in front of him, is telling the truth. He wants to hear one last time to hear his voice if there is a slight deceiveness in his tone.
Alex remains calm and says,"Yes, your majesty." He was sure of the situation.
The king's nods.
"Then god helps us all..."
...
On the other side of the land.
The undead army were marching through the forest, their decaying forms moving with eerie coordination.
An army of undead were heading towards them.
Hhhhhrrrghhhr!!
One particularly undead.
He was giving out a cold and unpleasant atmosphere.
He was wearing high-class knight gear. All around his body. He stood tall, riding his undead mount.
The horse eyes glow pure blue smoke.
The horse rider.
He wasn't an average zombie. It's more like he was different from other undead. It's clear that he was intelligent.
The knight wearing dark armor was leading the undead army.
He spoke, "I'm back... just you wait. I will have my revenge." His tone carries a dark chilling echo, filled with hatred.
It seems like he had reason to be there.
Hrrrrghr!
A swarm of endless of the undead army was slowly headed towards Tkhai land.
The knight rider slowly stares forward and march towards his destination.
Behind him were endless undead carried a mist spread like plague, withering the trees and animals it touches.
Causing their surroundings to die.
...
Back at Tkhai land.
The news spread all over the kingdom city.
Bell ringing!
The citizens panicking.
"My baby...!" a mother panic voice.
Children roaming around.
The citizens rush towards the castle.
The knights were blocking their way. Guarding the entrance castle entrance.
"Please... let us in!"
"Are you not here to protect us!"
"Please... let the children in."
The people were at roar.
The guards stood and guarded the door and held them back.
Knight 1: "Remain calm..."
Knight 2: "If you enter without any rights from the king himself. We will enforce our blades and cut down any intruder tries to enter."
The knight 2 pulls out a long sword.
The citizens slowly backs away. They were too afraid by the knights threats.
Back at the castle.
The king's leans back on his seat.
The king's could hear the riot outside his kingdom.
He already spread the news, and now, we prepare for the worst of what's coming.
The meeting was held.
Both noble sides were arguing with each other.
Christopher said,"We should force our way out!"
Drake said,"Are out if your mind! You might as well go kill yourself!"
Both were at each other face for hours.
"Let's just hire more knights."
"Oh really... how are we gonna do that in a short hour.."
Then, a creepy noble.
Decided to intervene in their conversation.
Baron Lucia's Greymark said, "I got a good idea."
Both nobles look directly at him.
They knew the noble wasn't a good man, but they knew he was a cunning bastard. They noticed he had a wide grin under his creepy smile.
They knew he was only thinking about his own life, just like the rest of them inside the room.
Baron Lucia's Greymark said, "Let's use the commoners as precautions."
"Hmph"
Both noble were now considered his words.
The king stood silent, but his expression was dark.
Baron continues...
"We use the commoners as bait. While we and others escape." His voice shows no sympathy towards the pheasant. They were nothing but pawns for him.
The king wasn't sure about it.
Another noble said, "That might work."
One by one, they all started to agree.
The king did not expect their answer to be this quick.
Baron was too cunning indeed. He only cares about his own life, then others. He's a man who will use his own soldiers for sacrifice.
The king thoughts, "Baron! You bastard."
Baron was more focused on getting to safety.
"Hehe... these fools were easy..." Baron thought to himself.
Baron grin wider showing his true self.
Everyone was arguing still without realizing Baron motives.
Baron already told his men to bag all his riches on the wagon. Now he is just waiting for the right moment.
Crackle!
Wooshh...
The door opens quickly by force.
Both nobles were startled by the sudden burst.
Alex and Percy made themselves in...
They knew the nobles meeting were held now. So they took their opportunity by walking in here without invitation or making reservations.
Different nobles were so not happy to see some pheasant walking here and made themselves welcomed.
"How dare you! Do you not have any decent manners!" Christopher said.
Drake said, " These pheasant doesn't. They are lowly to understand a simple common sense." He's mocking them and furious to see them.
The king just stood there. He was surprised by the sudden surprise welcoming. But his face shows that he has to show that he wasn't.
Alex said, "We apologize for the intrusion... but this is far more important to discuss."
He walks further around the opposite of the table.
He stares directly at all of them and the king in the middle of the seats.
"I like to summon and send a message to far other kingdoms' land. To warn them about the threats are coming." Alex said with a serious voice.
Alex was talking about the messager birds.
It's one of the rare birds that only use for certain occasions. These birds were used to send other kingdoms a warning or certain deals for their kingdom.
The king had the same idea, but he kept quiet.
However, none of the nobles were the slightest of helping Alex out.
The nobles were too proud and prideful.
They won't listen to some pheasant with no decent status whatsoever.
"You're not in a position! To tell us what to do!" Christopher said. His voice was loud and filled with hate.
"You dare to come here and demand! Our summon! Do you not know any shame!" Drake was mad.
Other nobles...
"Tsk... typical pheasant!"
"I guess pheasant are pheasant after all..."
"And I thought beggars were worse."
Percy wasn't even sure about the meeting. The nobles were not listening to the main point of the crisis. They were more worried about their status than the threats that were heading towards us.
Percy clenched his teeth with frustration.
Alex remains calm.
"Let's move on with the main topic—"
Before Alex could say another word. Some noble cause a scene on the table.
Boom!
Christopher slams both of his hands on the table with angered.
"That's enough! You pheasant! I had enough of your rude behavior."
The king was surprised by Christopher sudden burst.
"GUARDS!!!" He shouted.
Three knights came in.
One knight was fat and barely breathing.
Pant! Pant!
"Yes... your nobles, " He responded with heavy breathing.
Another knight was weak and scrawny, and he didn't have a decent sword but held a wooden sword.
"We are here at your service!" His voice was too deep.
The last knight was too short, his height was 4'10 ", and his helmet was too big for him to see.
"We will protect and serve." His voice was soft and low.
Percy and Alex were trying not to laugh.
Percy was thinking, "You got to be kidding me. The first one is exhausted, barely could lift himself up, and the second one, I can slap him easily, and the third one."
Percy was looking at the little midget.
"Now that just very sad..."
He didn't even want to hurt the last one.
Everyone in the room could tell that these knights were new. They weren't even sure if they could even defend themselves.
The king was too embarrassed to even say a word. These knights were his, but he was trying to deny their existence.
He slowly tried to pretend to look away.
Christopher said, "And who might you be!"
Both three knights said, "We are his majesty new guards!" Their voice filled with joy and pride.
"I'm Jay! I'm more durable in combat.." He barely could say another word. While trying to gasp for air. He was too fat and out of shape.
Jay did the crane pose.
He lifted his left knee up and both of his hands on the opposite sides of each other.
He stood in the middle.
"And I'm Arron! I honed my sword skill for 2 months and barely made any progress." He said it loud and proud.
He put the wooden sword in between his face and thought it was cool. He stood on 3 feet on the left side of Jay.
The last one was a little midget.
He stood right side of jay. He was there looking cool by showing his back. He turned his head slightly to the right.
"I'm Leo... the last line of defense." His voice was serious.
Both three did their pose, syncing with each other. They rehearsal their roles together and prepare for this moment.
The room got silent.
The king was so embarrassed.
"These idiots actually said it out loud." He said.
The king wanted to dig a hole and parried himself underground.
He was too ashamed to even show his face.
They even have time to rehearse...?
The king's thoughts, "When did they have time to do their roles..."
Percy really want to slap them, but he doesn't want to. He doesn't slap special people like them.
Alex said,"How are they even knights?"
"They probably be the bait? I guess..." Percy said. His voice was unsure, but if it was up to him.
Percy will definitely use them as a sacrifice. If he was a noble.
Christopher pointed at the two pheasant and yelled furiously.
"CAPTURE THESE PHEASANT! IMMEDIATELY!..."
Three knights responded back, "Yes, sir!"
When they were about to charge at the intruder, the king stopped them.
"Halt!..."
