Chapter 32 - Bear

"Just a little more..." Jay, approaching the bear, now felt like he was racing against time.

Despite his confidence, he still felt a sense of dread creeping up on him as he faced the massive bear before him.

So, although he slowly approached the bear, his steps were quite slow.

After about five minutes, Jay, who was only about 30 meters from his previous position in the room, was now exactly five meters from the bear.

Indeed, Jay had to say that seeing the bear up close made the hairs all over his body stand on end.

"Come in!!!" Without another word, Jay commanded the room to let the bear into the room.

And immediately, the terrorizing bear in front of him disappeared. Jay was clearly overjoyed.

Now that the danger that had threatened him was gone, "Hahahah... I did it... It really wasn't easy!!!!" Jay said with a shocked expression.

But what Jay never expected was, when he put the bear in his chamber.

The bees that had previously attacked the bear suddenly seemed to lose their bearings, as their target was now nowhere to be found.

And as if realizing that the missing enemy must be connected to another enemy that had suddenly arrived.

Yes, the bees, having lost their target, now turned their hostility towards Jay.

A loud buzzing sound immediately approached Jay.

"Ugh…damn!!!!" Jay, still feeling happy, suddenly realized that he had forgotten about the bees that had previously attacked the bear.

Now that he had put the bear in his chamber, he had become their substitute target.

"Ohhhh…I almost forgot, there was a chamber!!!" Jay immediately put the bees attacking him in. As long as they were within 5 meters, he would put them all in.

With the protection of his chamber, Jay approached the beehive. His scan revealed that the nest inside the pine tree was quite large.

So, without wasting any time, he put all the bees and their nest into his chamber.

And this time, the crisis that threatened him was resolved.

"Wow... I have to say... that was a thrilling moment, like riding a roller coaster!!" Jay was still trying to calm himself.

"Let's see the harvest..."

Wow... this bear is huge... I initially thought it was only about 2 meters tall, but with the chamber's measuring function, I realized it was 3 meters tall.

Not to mention its weight; the weighing results revealed the black bear weighed 630 kg, a truly enormous figure.

I remember that this black bear weighed around 400 kg at its largest.

So, there's a difference of over 200 kg, which is truly astonishing. But considering that nature is still very much intact.

And there hasn't been any massive hunting, and wildlife habitats are still protected, it seems very reasonable.

So, how far do I need to go to reach 1,000 kg of catch?" Jay seemed to realize he was close to reaching his target for the space upgrade.

[The host has successfully obtained a total of 973 kg of catch] the system's voice informed Jay.

"Ohhhh… it's already 973 kg, I really only need a few more kilograms to upgrade my space!!!

But where do all those catches come from, system?" Jay asked curiously.

[2 stag deer 340 kg + 2 black grouse 3 kg + black bear 630 kg = 973 kg] the system replied.

"Okay… okay… just a little bit more, let's finish upgrading today!!" Jay ultimately decided to complete his space upgrade today.

Because if he was lucky, he only needed at least one more deer or another animal weighing at least 30 kg.

With that, he would definitely get the space upgrade he wanted.

"Since the bear is coming from this direction, let's take the other path." Jay decided to continue his hunt, then chose the opposite direction from the bear.

He was well aware that many animals would be afraid of the bear's presence, especially if he continued tracking in the direction the bear had come from.

He therefore had little chance of getting a good kill, so he decided to choose The opposite direction.

Larger animals with their survival instincts would naturally avoid the area where the bear was.

And indeed, as Jay suspected, he found what he was looking for.

A few hundred meters away, a herd of wild goats was grazing.

Seeing this scene, Jay's eyes naturally lit up.

He could already imagine that capturing one of the wild goats would increase his space.

Jay then slowly, as before, surveyed the area around the goats, and found the spot where the wild goats were grazing.

It appeared to have a clear water hole for drinking.

Seeing this, Jay realized why the wild goats were foraging there; there was apparently food and water there.

Afterward, Jay re-examined his surroundings to see if there were any dangers lurking or hiding around the area where the goats had been seen.

However, after searching for a while, Jay found no danger threatening him or the goats.

So he immediately began preparing to kill one of the largest goats in the herd.

And from Jay's observations, he found that there were about a dozen wild goats in the area, which was quite a large number.

Jay then began to wonder where these wild goats came from.

But he seemed to realize that wasn't something he needed to think about. After all, every village he knew.

would never allow their village's domestic goats to run far into the forest.

So the only conclusion was that these goats must have escaped from somewhere and essentially survived in this pine forest.

Until then, they began to breed and increase in number to what they were now.

Choosing, Jay looked at the herd of goats 50 meters away.

And after observing, Jay chose one of the relatively large goats closest to him.

Because, as the saying goes, a wise man will always get results, but a greedy man will get nothing.

"Okay, you go! Don't blame me for having to choose you!!" Jay then drew his bow and aimed firmly at the goat's head.

After adjusting his breathing, Jay released his arrow and let it fly towards the wild goat.

In a matter of seconds, the goat, which had been happily chewing grass, suddenly screamed in pain and fell.

The herd of goats, seeing one of their own fall and remembering the pain, immediately became alert.

And when they saw Jay's figure, who suddenly emerged from his hiding place, they immediately became frightened and ran for their lives.

Approaching the dying wild goat, Jay apologized and put the goat in his space.

"Sorry for causing you pain," then the goat disappeared with an echoing cry of agony.

[ Ding... congratulations, host, for collecting 1000 kg of game. ]

[ Space upgraded!!!]
