Chapter 35 - Chapter Thirty-Five: Rhaenys Gets to Know Her Father Arthur Pendragon Part Two

Shanea Palace, Rhaenys Bedchambers, 1509

Rhaenys chuckled softly and replied, "Yes, I have two younger brothers. They keep life fascinating!" "That's great to hear."

Arthur said, imagining the lively household. "Siblings can really shape who we are."

Rhaenys agreed, her thoughts drifting to shared memories with her brothers. "They bring joy and a sense of responsibility." Their conversation deepened, exploring how family influences personal growth.

Rhaenys smiled and said, "Their names are Connor and Tyler."

Arthur raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Connor and Tyler? What are they like?" Rhaenys's eyes sparkled as she recounted their adventures, each story filled with laughter and mischief that had shaped their bond over the years.

"They're both incredibly spirited," she continued, her voice animated. "Connor is the jokester, always finding a way to lighten the mood."

Arthur leaned in, captivated by her enthusiasm. "And what about Tyler? What's he like?"

Rhaenys sighed, her expression shifting to sadness. "Tyler passed away when I was six years old," she said quietly.

Arthur paused for a moment, then said softly, "Actually, your brother Tyler is alive." Rhaenys looked at him in disbelief, her heart racing.

"How could you possibly know that?" she asked, her voice trembling with a mix of hope and fear. Arthur took a deep breath, ready to unravel a truth that could change everything she thought she knew about her past.

"He's been living in Camelot; he's been living there ever since he was a few weeks old," Arthur explained, his eyes locking onto hers.

Rhaenys then says, "How's it even possible? He died from falling off my adoptive father's lap. How could he be alive?"

Arthur stepped closer, his expression earnest as he continued, "I know it sounds unbelievable, but you are the one who saved his life."

Rhaenys felt her heart race as the weight of his words sank in. "What do you mean I saved him?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper, overwhelmed by the revelation.

Arthur's gaze held hers, filled with urgency and hope. "Your magic has the power to affect life and death in ways you don't yet understand."

Rhaenys took a step back, her mind racing with possibilities and doubts. "But I've never done anything like that before," she replied, struggling to grasp the magnitude of her abilities.

Arthur then says, "You were so young when you did it. That's the reason why you don't remember it. After you did it. Your magic took you and him to Camelot. You returned to the other dimension. But your brother Tyler stayed and was left behind in Camelot. He's been raised there ever since."

Her heart raced at the thought of her brother living in a place steeped in legend and adventure. "I need to find him," she declared, determination igniting within her as she imagined the reunion that awaited them.

"He's actually here in Shanea Palace." Arthur says with a smile.

"Shanea Palace? Why didn't you tell me sooner?" she exclaimed, her excitement bubbling over.

"I wanted to get to know you a little bit before I told you that your brother was alive," Arthur said, looking at his daughter with warmth.

"Thank you, Father," Rhaenys said, her eyes shining with gratitude. "Can we go see my brother now?" She asked eagerly, barely able to contain her excitement.

Arthur chuckled softly, sensing her impatience. "Of course."

He took her hand, guiding her toward the door. "Just remember, it might take some time for him to adjust to everything." Rhaenys nodded, her heart racing at the thought of reuniting with her brother after so long.

Then there's a knock on the door. Rhaenys paused, her excitement momentarily replaced by curiosity.

"Who could that be?" she wondered aloud, glancing at her father.

Arthur smiled reassuringly. "Let's find out." He opened the door, revealing a familiar figure standing on the threshold.

Rhaenys gasped, her heart racing as she recognized her brother.

Tyler stood tall, with a lean build that hinted at his athletic lifestyle. His tousled dark hair framed a face marked by strong cheekbones and a warm smile that instantly put Rhaenys at ease.

His deep-set blue eyes sparkled with mischief, reflecting a sense of adventure. Dressed casually in fitted armor and a white tunic shirt, he exuded a relaxed charm that made him approachable yet striking.

The light stubble on his jaw added a dash of ruggedness to his appearance, while his confident posture radiated self-assurance. As he stepped inside, the familiarity of his presence enveloped Rhaenys, bringing back cherished memories.

"Surprise!" he exclaimed, stepping inside with a warm smile.

Rhaenys rushed forward, embracing him tightly. "I missed you so much!" she cried, her voice muffled against his shoulder.

Arthur watched the joyful reunion, a proud smile on his face. In that moment, all worries faded away, replaced by love and togetherness.

Sir Tyler then says, "I missed you too, big sis."

Rhaenys then says to her brother, "You look like you are my age." "How's that even possible? You should look like a nine-year-old right now."

He then says, "Your magic did it to me."

Rhaenys looks at her brother with a confused look. "My magic?"

"Yes," he replied, chuckling softly. "While I was dying, you wished that I would be saved? Well, it seems like your wish came true in more ways than one!" Rhaenys's eyes widened as she considered the implications of her abilities, realizing that her bond with her brother might have altered more than just age.

As the weight of his words settled in, she felt a mixture of pride and fear. Could her emotions truly wield such power, and what other secrets lay hidden within her magic?
