"What are you doing?" asked Cassandra as Rane, Ryle, and Reeve surrounded her.
"Comforting," said Rane. "It's been a long night."
"I-I don't n-need comfort."
"Your teeth are chattering," said Rane. He cupped her face. She tried to pull away, but his fingers clamped her jaw. "Relax, mate."
"This mate thing has not been established," said Cassandra.
"Your acceptance of the mate thing has not been established," said Reeve, taking her hand.
"We belong to you." Ryle clasped her other hand. "And you belong to us."
