"My mother told me to use a little from what Peter gave me." She said and Diana nodded.
Claudia had made Diana believe what Peter told her earlier, with the addition that Peter gave her some money as consolation, which she couldn't reject.
"Alright," Diana said and walked into the lab with Claudia.
Minutes later, the next teacher taught them a chemical practical, which they all did in pairs.
Claudia paired with Diana whose hands were still hurting.
At the end of the practice session, the teacher applauded Claudia and Diana for a good job.
Peter went to see Claudia in the disguise of seeing Diana.
"Hi, Diana." He said making her look at him.
Diana gave him a weird look.
"Oh my," Peter said. "I am so sorry for making you feel like that."
He lied to her about feeling bad that his girlfriend could do that in the lab.
He found it hard to call Diana his girlfriend in front of Claudia.
"It's alright," Diana said with a smile.
He turned to look at Claudia and congratulated her for a job well done.
"Thank you," Claudia replied with a smile and Peter smiled.
"I will see you later." He said to Claudia looking at Diana.
He walked away with a smile on his face.
Claudia, alongside Diana, walked out to get their meal.
Peter, who was surprised to see Claudia eating, moved closer to them.
"Hi." He said and they smiled.
"You didn't inform me that you wanted to eat." He said to Diana who smiled.
"I chose to eat with her," Diana said and Peter looked at Claudia.
"It's from the money you gave me," Claudia said.
Peter looked at her, sad that Claudia had implicated him, as Michael told him.
"I agreed to what you told her and added the fact that you gave me some money as compensation," Claudia whispered into Peter's ear and he smiled. "I can't come between you and your girlfriend unless you love me."
She sat back to continue her meal while Peter looked at her with his heart beating fast.
"I will see you ladies later." He said anxiously.
They rested after eating and walked back into the lab.
They took up their bags and left for the Physics lab.
On their way to the Physics lab, Terry crossed their path.
"I would like to apologize to Diana for mistakenly touching her with the hard object," Terry said and Diana told Claudia to excuse them.
Claudia left, looking back as she felt something was off; nevertheless, she walked to the lab.
Minutes later, Diana walked to the lab with her cheeks reddened. Terry's cheek was also bruised and Claudia could not help but wonder what happened.
Minutes later, the teacher entered and taught for a while.
"What happened?" Claudia asked Diana who was sitting next to her.
"My cheek?" Diana asked and she nodded. "We were pushed by some silly kids running around."
"Wow, this is painful," Claudia said feeling that there was more to it.
She touched her cheek, and Diana winced in pain.
"Won't you choose to go home now?" Claudia asked, and she shook her head, wincing.
"Alright," Claudia said.
The Physics practical teacher came in and gave them work to do.
They all sat doing the work and then finished.
Peter, alongside Michael, did perfectly, and next were Claudia and Diana.
"I told you that you will surpass Claudia soon," Michael said to his friend, who looked at Claudia, feeling sad.
"What is wrong with you?" Michael asked and Peter smiled.
"Absolutely nothing, I just like her and nothing more," Peter said.
"Better," Michael said smiling.
The teacher gave them some lessons on their next practical and then left.
Peter closed his eyes for a while, then got up when Michael hit him.
"I had promised myself to look for the one who planned the attack but it's hard," Peter said.
"It's gone so forget about it," Michael said.
"What do you mean?" Peter asked. "If I can do anything for you then why can't I do it for a female friend?"
"Ladies matters are complicated," Michael said. "She may have fought with someone or stolen some money."
"I don't believe it," Peter said and looked at Claudia, who was walking toward them.
"Michael is your friend?" She asked and Peter nodded.
Claudia scoffed looking at Michael.
"What you did to me that day was wrong." She said and Peter looked at him.
"You mean protecting you from a jealous girlfriend?" Michael asked with a smirk.
Andrew ran into the lab and raced directly to Peter.
"You have to come now." He said, looking at both Michael and Peter, who got up immediately, seeing the urgency in his voice.
"Should I?" Claudia asked when they had almost left the lab.
"You may," Andrew said.
Minutes later, they got to a spot where they saw both Diana and Terry fighting.
"I know he is close to her." They heard Terry say.
"She isn't even my friend. I want to be close to her so that she won't take Peter from me." They heard Diana say while they pulled their hair.
"As you stole him from me." They heard Terry say laughing.
"I didn't steal him but he likes me," Diana said.
"I had to do something about that girl called Claudia so she doesn't steal Peter just as you did. I planned to steal her money and warn her to stay away from Peter but Peter interfered." Terry said.
"What? I can't do such," Diana said.
Terry broke down.
"My boys injured Peter. I would kill anyone who stands in my way." Terry said strangling Diana.
"Stop it!" Peter said making the girls stop fighting.
"I do not like either of you," Peter said and walked away.
Since the day that incident happened, Diana had stayed away from him and Claudia.
Peter had been trying to get Claudia to speak to him ever since then but she didn't.
