"Claudia, the truth is that I love you." He said one day.
It was already a week after that incident, and Peter couldn't get over it, as Claudia had stayed away from him after the incident.
"Why do they have to fight because of me?" Claudia would ask herself thinking she was the reason for the fight.
She was used to ladies fighting with their boyfriends because of her but this didn't affect her as she always maintained her stances.
"Peter!" She shouted feeling his hand touch her.
"Claudia!" He called. "I can't handle your cold attitude toward me anymore."
He got down on his knees.
Claudia wiped the tears flowing down her face.
"I haven't loved anyone before. I have only played them." He said weeping. "I don't know how this began but I know that I love you."
The tears that Claudia was trying to stop from falling began to flow down her face.
"Peter, get up." She said, trying to pull him up, but he refused to get up.
"I won't get up until you pour out your heart to me." He said.
She used her hands to wipe a little of his tears.
"I always want to be the best. I choose to liberate my family." She said with tears flowing. "I do not want to do anything that is going to jeopardize this."
"Together we can liberate your family. I love no one else than you." He said.
"I also love you," Claudia said and broke down pulling Peter up.
They hugged and Peter touched her hair.
Michael, who had no idea what was happening, walked into the class and stared at them.
Peter turned, looking away from Claudia, and smiled.
"He told me not to...." He was saying pointing to Michael.
"To stay away from love as this is your final class." Claudia completed and Peter looked surprised.
"How?" Peter asked and she laughed.
"I am not just basically for studies so I overheard you guys." She said.
Peter sighed looking down.
"You probably overheard us speaking about your status." He said and Claudia smiled.
"Yes of course." She said. "It's normal for a concerned friend."
"Some ladies of my status have bad characters." She added.
"Likewise mine." He said laughing.
He called for Michael, who joined them, looking at Peter.
"We are together," Peter said.
"After high school?" Michael asked and Peter looked at Claudia.
"Our love will be," Claudia said.
Michael looked at his friend and smiled.
"Every lady's guy." He said and they laughed.
"I guess she is also some guy's lady," Peter said and they laughed.
"I suggest you should announce her as your girlfriend officially," Michael said and Claudia nodded.
"I am sorry that I couldn't fulfill the promise I made to you," Peter said looking at Michael.
"What promise?" Michael asked.
"Getting Diana to like you," Peter answered.
"I do not care anymore," Michael said.
"I can," Claudia said and they looked at her.
"How?" They both asked looking at her.
She took in a deep breath and sat.
"I got to know she being my friend was a pretense ever since but chose to keep calm." She said and the guys looked at her. "I didn't know her real intention was you not loving me."
The guys looked at themselves while Claudia smiled.
"I know she likes you both equally." She said and Michael looked at Peter.
"Your girlfriend is a smart one." He said and Claudia smiled.
Andrew walked in and joined them in discussing
He was glad to know that his friend was in love.
"I prayed so much that you would see more than playing with ladies," Andrew said and they laughed.
Minutes later, they wore their bags and left for the lab with Michael teasing Peter.
Getting into the lab, Michael stole a glance at Diana who he saw turn from looking at him.
Claudia, who was walking, sat on the bench where Diana was.
Diana looked at her and turned to the other side.
"We can start being friends," Claudia said. "You pretended then all because you wanted Peter but now that he is no longer in this, let's be friends."
She stretched her hand to Diana who just stared at her.
"You both are dating." Diana could only say and Claudia sighed.
"Well, if I say that we are dating, we are yet to start, but we love each other," Claudia said, and Diana smiled.
"You were confused about who to date, then." She said and Diana looked at her.
"Who?" Diana asked.
"You can't deny that you like two of them," Claudia said.
"Who?" Diana asked and Claudia smiled.
"Peter and Michael." She answered and Diana deliberated for a while.
"Yes, I do, and how..." Diana was saying but Claudia cut in.
"Leave it to me," Claudia said.
"Michael hates me now," Diana said and Claudia shook her head.
"Peter wanted to let you know about Michael's love for you, but couldn't," Claudia said, and Diana smiled.
"Thank you, Claudia." She said giving Claudia a handshake.
Claudia looked at her and smiled.
"Friends?" She asked, and Diana nodded, hugging her.
For some minutes, they stared up at the sky.
"Aren't you going to Michael?" Claudia asked.
"I do not want to act stupid anymore," Diana said. "He is the guy, get him to confess to me."
They both laughed with Claudia promising to get Michael to confess his feelings to her.
Minutes later, the physics teacher walked in and began teaching while they took some words into their pads.
After teaching, he explained fully and faced them.
"Except for Claudia, can anyone give a detailed explanation of the last topic?" He asked, and both Peter and Michael explained alongside a girl named Suzie.
They all explained well and Claudia clapped.
Minutes later, the teacher left the class.
Claudia looked at Diana and they both nodded.
"I will get you some shoes I am not wearing," Diana said and didn't give Claudia a chance to refuse.
"Alright," Claudia said.
