I continued to lie down as my mind still needed to process what had happened but i decided to power through as i still needed to get the seed. He sighed then rose to his feet making sure not to trip over himself.
'Ah how I hate illusions I'm not doing this ever again.' He grumbled inwardly as he walked to the gate that seemed to have been shorter or maybe it was his imagination he couldn't tell. He pushed open the gate only to find a gigantic tree resting in the middle of a room filled with roots and two portals humming softly to the side.
He felt so much raw mana and power it caused him to trembled and even sweat but he paid that no mind as he had to get that seed. The seed was placed in the middle of the tree with a hole allowing him to see and grab it which was quite convinent for him as he quietly grabbed the seed.
The mana in the air seemed to get lighter as he held the seed in his hand. Swallowing hard he quickly put the seed in his mouth and swallowed yet again making sure the seed went down smoothly. 'Huh that wasn't as bad as I th-' before he could finish his thoughts unimaginable blinding pain seered through his body as if it was melting.
He tried to scream but no voice came out it was as if his vocal cords were ripping apart, but worst of all the influx of mana forcing his mana core and pathways to forcibly stretch while his muscles and bones seemingly broke, snapped, and grew which was the most pain he had ever received in both lives.
He convulsed on the ground blacking out and waking up over and over from the pain which seemed as if it would never end. He panted heavily as the pain quickly diminished until it was no more his body feeling better then before it was as if he never experienced that pain but that didn't mean he was perfectly fine mentally.
It seemed he would go brain dead from the sheer pain which thankfully he didn't but it still took him quite a while to collect himself as he finally decided to check his status.
