Chapter 41 - America

[Congratulations! You have completed your mission!

Reward: Good luck scarf]

After the kidnapping incident, Seojin went to visit his parents' grave on a weekend. Thanks to the judge, his parents were buried in a well-maintained cemetery near his high school. After his parents' funeral, he was afraid that he wouldn't have enough money to give them a proper burial.

Seojin knelt in front of their graves and placed the white chrysanthemum. It has been quite a while since his parents' deaths, but tears still filled his blue eyes. He still couldn't believe that his parents were dead. It seemed like yesterday that they lived in their small but warm house. They weren't well-off, but they were happy.

Why did they have to die in both of his lives? What was the purpose of regaining his memories? He felt powerless. If only he had regained his memories sooner, maybe he could've saved his parents. At the end of the day, it was all about humans' greed.

He couldn't understand why his father was stubborn in not contacting his family. He was also a rich kid before he met Seojin's mother. If his father had maintained his rich status, maybe they wouldn't have been killed that easily. Maybe his father was also tired of resting in that suffocating family.

He wiped his tears and forced a smile, trying not to worry his parents, who were watching him from heaven.

"Mom, Dad, I miss you guys so much. I hope you are doing well in heaven," Seojin sobbed, his tears were threatening to fall again.

"You don't have to worry about me, I'm doing fine. Please watch over the judge, too, for me. He has helped me a lot after you guys left," Seojin reassured them.

He wasn't sure if he should tell his parents that he liked Valentin. Whatever he did, his parents always encouraged him. Maybe they won't mind having a gay son.

Suddenly, the clouds in the sky disappeared, making way for the bright sun. Seojin smiled and murmured, "Thank you. I love you guys too."

The warm light felt like his parents were hugging him and telling him not to worry about them. They will always support him no matter what.

Feeling the warmth, Seojin couldn't help but cry, getting rid of all the tears he had been keeping inside. He had promised not to cry anymore after the funerals ended. He had to stay strong even when his parents weren't there. Seojin was certain that his parents wished that he would continue to live even without them.

"Hyung, I'm home," Seojin said.

Valentin rushed to the entrance, the kid had told him that he was going to visit his parents' grave. Seeing his red eyes, Valentin guessed that he had cried. He hugged him tightly, hoping that it would help the male lead get better.

"Thank you, hyung," Seojin said. He returned the hug and placed his head on Valentin's shoulder. He appreciated the judge's gesture.

After visiting his parents' grave and feeling their invisible encouragement, Seojin was even surer of his feelings. He will continue to pursue Valentin until he refuses him.

Snowflakes fell upon the city. It was finally winter. Valentin gazed outside the penthouse's window, enjoying the snow show. Compared to summer, he liked winter better because he could sleep better.

"Hyung, let's go!" Seojin exclaimed. He carried a small luggage with him. Since he had a small winter break, Valentin suggested they go on a trip.

The boy dragged the judge excitedly to the entrance. He was going to take the plane for the first time. It was his first time going on a trip outside the country. In his past life, he was too busy, juggling between school and his part-time jobs. As soon as he finished high school, he planned his revenge.

Seeing the overjoyed male lead, Valentin smiled. He took out the beige scarf that he received as a reward and wrapped it around Seojin's neck.

Surprised, Seojin touched the soft fabric and exclaimed, "Thank you, Hyung, I really like it!"

As they stepped out of the apartment, Seojin sniffed the scarf when the judge wasn't watching him. It smelled like Valentin.

They successfully boarded the plane and sat in the first-class section. Seojin's eyes were glued to the small window. He had to take a lot of pictures to boast about his trip to Ji-a.

Seeing that the kid was immersed in the outside view, Valentin attached his seatbelt for him. He should take Seojin outside more often.

After 13 hours of flight, they finally arrived in New York, a famous city for tourists in the United States. They took a taxi and headed to the hotel. Tired, Seojin collapsed on his bed.

The snow decorated the dark sky. Since it was already 5 AM, Valentin suggested they sleep. When they woke up from their slumber, it was already nighttime.

"What do you want to do?" Valentin asked.

"Hyung, can we go to a bar? I've always wanted to go drink with you," Seojin said. It was the perfect time to go to the bar because most people go there at night. Since he was already 18 years old, he wanted to go drink with someone. He's last experience in a bar wasn't great, so he wanted to change that.

"Can you even hold your liquor?" Valentin laughed.

Even with the snow, the streets were crowded. Seojin glanced at the people who had a different appearance from his. It was his first time seeing Americans. Their skin was whiter and they had different hair colours.

"Hyung, are your hands cold?" Seojin asked. The judge's body temperature was always lower than normal people; he was worried that he might be cold.

"A little bit," Valentin replied. He forgot to bring gloves. Normally, he would be fully equipped for winter, since he gets cold easily.

Seojin sneakily grabbed Valentin's hand and enveloped it in his big hands. Valentin knew what the male lead was playing at, but he didn't withdraw his hand because Seojin's hand was warm.

They entered the first bar they saw in the busy street. Little did they know that there was a sign that said 'Gay Bar'.

As they entered the bar, they noticed that there were only men. They walked threw the crowd of people, when suddenly a small hand grabbed Valentin's arm. It was a cute boy with a revealing outfit. His rosy lips were amplified with gloss, and his black shirt was slightly transparent.

"You are very handsome. Would you be down to leave the bar together?" the boy asked in English.

English wasn't Seojin's first language, but he knew what the boy was saying. He was interested in Valentin and wanted to sleep with him. There was no way that Seojin would let that happen.

Seojin stood in front of Valentin and apologized in fluent English, "I'm sorry, but he's with me."

"Oh, that's fine, I'm also open-minded for a threesome." It was rare to see such handsome men in a gay bar. The cute boy didn't want to miss his chance.

Seojin's cheeks and neck violently blushed at the thought of sleeping with Valentin. He was so shocked that he didn't know how to reply. Were people normally that open-minded?

"We're just here for a drink, sorry," Valentin said to the boy.

"Too bad," the boy said, obviously disappointed.
