Lucien
I'm restless.
I can't seem to shake off the feeling that something is missing, but I can't place exactly what it is.
My eyes dart to my phone that's lying on my desk. I narrow my eyes.
"And who should I call?"
I sit back, tapping away on my desk, my heart gently thumping.
Her image pops up in my head, and floats away.
I close my eyes, "No."
Flinging them open, my eyes fall on my phone again.
I shake my head, "No. She's just my PA now."
I just rest back, unable to do anything at the moment.
"Lucas?" I call.
He's been unusually quiet since she left. He no longer nags nor call me names, and it's worrying.
"Can you hear me?" I call softly again, but he still doesn't respond.
I don't blame him though. His 'mate' is no longer near him. Of course he'd be throwing a tantrum.
"Tch."
Unable to do anything, I push my chair backwards, stand up, and head towards my window.
A light knock on the door pulls me away from my thoughts.
It's Kael.
