I look up in surprise to see that familiar face. It's him, the annoying friend Lucien.
"Get out of the way! Can't you see this place is busy? Take your romance to your room!" An old woman lashes out at us, before pushing past the bodies down the steps.
Eventually, he lets go of me.
My face flushes a deep shade of red, while my stomach does backflips.
You nasty brat.
I mutter under my breath, walking past him into the restaurant.
"Jeez, why are you so rude?" He asks behind me.
I bite back my words, "Please, we should go straight to the point," I grab his wrist, leading him to a quiet spot.
"Now, to the business of the day," I clear my throat, after we both sit down.
"We really need Lucien's help," I finally speak up after a long pause.
His icy blue eyes stare back at me, almost as if they see right through my despair. He props his face with his elbow, giving me the most icy stare I haven't seen.
