Chapter 6 - Chapter 5 - Beginning of the Journey (II)

On the streets of Richmond, three teenagers and a child could be seen walking on the sidewalk.

"It had been a while since I walked so peacefully through a city," Godwyn commented as he looked around with a calm gaze. He smiled and watched people come and go, completely oblivious to the true reality that surrounded them.

Ignorance is bliss; in this case, it truly was a blessing. Who in their right mind would seek to live in such a chaotic world?

"Haven't you been to many cities?" Thalia asked curiously; Godwyn had a mysterious aura that truly made people try to discover the truth about him.

"I rarely come to Midgard; I'm usually in other worlds, like Asgard or Nidavellir. Seeing a modern city is really good after a long time." Godwyn looked at the beautiful gothic girl and replied with an amused laugh.

"What are other worlds like?" Annabeth asked with an eager expression to gain knowledge and not appear ignorant in front of her friends.

"All worlds are similar to Midgard, but with some special effects, like snow, fire, death, light, darkness, mist, and intense cold. And of course, no modern cities. Although Nidavellir is the world of the dwarves, and in that world, even the sun looks like a gigantic golden metal globe." Godwyn hid nothing and spoke about the Nine Worlds while everyone listened with great curiosity; after all, it wasn't every day that you heard something about other mythological worlds.

Annabeth's eyes lit up hearing the wonders of the Dwarf World; there was a thirst for knowledge that made Godwyn smile, remembering a certain red-haired girl dominating, always wanting to impress her father.

Suddenly, feeling a gaze fall upon him, Godwyn's golden eyes fell upon a man in a trench coat and hat; his face could not be seen because of the hat, but he still saw the man's single eye.

Godwyn narrowed his eyes and looked away, appearing as if he had just casually looked around.

Mimir, who was on Godwyn's belt, certainly saw the man and spoke to everyone in a deep voice. "Cyclops, children."

Luke, Thalia, and Annabeth's relaxed and happy smiles disappeared upon hearing Mimir's words. Still new to this world, Annabeth was the one who showed the most fear in the face of the possible enemies lurking.

"It's not just Cyclops; Hellhounds are nearby." Godwyn added in a calm tone as he looked at the alleys around him; the smell of death was faint, almost imperceptible, but for him, who carried the curse of death, the smell couldn't be more evident.

Honestly, Cyclops were not rare; however, Hellhounds were quite rare, especially since they were inhabitants of the Greek Underworld. Godwyn looked at Thalia and guessed that Hades already knew the girl's true identity.

Zeus killed Hades' lover and tried to kill his children, the demigods Nico and Bianca Di Angelo. It was only fair that Hades also killed Zeus's daughter.

However, Godwyn had to say that Zeus was a hypocritical bastard; he obviously conceived Thalia and Jason before Hades met Nico and Bianca, but he was still furious to learn of the existence of Hades' children.

If that wasn't hypocritical, Godwyn really didn't know what else could be considered more hypocritical in this world.

"Annabeth, remember that in a battle, stay calm at all times." Placing his hand on the Californian girl's head, Godwyn spoke in a calm tone, as if the situation wasn't dangerous. "Only when your mind is calm can you fight with intelligence and cunning."

Annabeth, who was extremely tense, relaxed slightly feeling the warm hand on her head, but instead of thanking him, the girl spoke with a resentful tone. "Don't touch my head; I won't grow!!!"

The words made everyone laugh cheerfully.

Suddenly, feeling the malice grow, Godwyn lost his smile and spoke in a calm and indifferent tone. "They're going to attack."

With Godwyn's words, one of the cars on the street was thrown into the sky while a humanoid monster advanced with heavy and fast steps towards them. He wielded a huge wooden club. It was a cyclops, one of the many children of Earth and Sky.

Thalia acted quickly; her celestial bronze spear appeared in her hand. Using the feeling of anger, lightning began to crackle around her. It crackled as it circled around her like snakes.

Taking a step forward, the thirteen-year-old girl simply advanced towards the Cyclops without any fear.

"Does she always act so impulsively?" Godwyn asked with a helpless expression on his face. He wanted to get away from the city before starting to attack, because if they fought in the city, they would attract even more monsters. Not to mention the problems they were causing the police.

Although ordinary mortals couldn't really see monsters, they could still see demigods! Being wanted by the police was certainly not in Godwyn's plans.

"She's always the first to attack." Luke replied with an equally helpless smile on his face.

Although he hadn't known Thalia for more than a few months, he was already used to the stubborn and headstrong girl, but because of that, he felt she was more special than any other girl.

Seeing Luke's gaze towards Thalia, Godwyn found it amusing; the young man was obviously in love with Thalia, although he doubted the thunder girl had noticed it.

However, he put those thoughts aside as he watched Thalia fighting like a Valkyrie. There was no fear or hesitation in her actions; every blow of her spear aimed at the cyclops's most sensitive parts. Given her movements, Godwyn noticed that the girl had already experienced countless battles.

Suddenly, Godwyn felt an angry gaze upon him. Looking up, he noticed stormy clouds forming above the city.

It didn't take a genius to know that Zeus was looking at him at that moment. After all, Hades was attacking his daughter; how could someone arrogant and egocentric like Zeus stand idly by in the face of that fact?

He can kill his lover and try to kill his older brother's son and daughter, but his older brother cannot kill his daughter!

Was Godwyn afraid? The answer was no. He traveled and faced Odin himself, someone more powerful, cunning, intelligent, and cruel than Zeus himself. He possessed something that could kill gods; how could he be afraid of gods?

If Zeus wanted to kill him, Godwyn could really die, but he would take the King of the Gods with him to Hel.

Ignoring the gaze of the King of the Greek Gods upon him, Godwyn focused on the fight, which didn't really seem like a fight. Unlike normal demigods, Thalia could face monsters with ease.

Which was normal; descendants of powerful gods were much more powerful than children of minor gods and nymphs. There was no way to compare both sides; one had the potential to fight several monsters at once without any training, while the other had difficulty killing even one monster, even with basic training.

Thalia could fight a normal cyclops in Godwyn's eyes, especially in this world, where demigods were more powerful than the original Percy Jackson universe.

As Godwyn expected, the Cyclops was impaled alive by Thalia's spear in thirty seconds and turned into golden sand, which was blown away by the wind.

The thunder girl was really powerful; at least in Godwyn's eyes, in a fight, Luke wouldn't even be able to touch Thalia.

"Let's run; we'll be surrounded if we stay in the city." Godwyn said with a smile as he grabbed Annabeth by the collar of her shirt and pulled the girl up. Without waiting for the other two demigods' response, he started running.

Seeing the increasingly distant figure, Luke quickly followed while Thalia followed behind without any difficulty. Both soon caught up with Godwyn, who was carrying Annabeth by the collar of her shirt.

"GOLDWYN!!!!" A furious roar came from the girl's mouth. Annabeth couldn't believe she was being carried like a cat carrying its kittens!!

Luke and Thalia watched the scene and started laughing, drawing attention wherever they went. Mortals looked at the four children running with confused expressions, but no one cared much.

It was very normal for children and teenagers to do strange things.

Suddenly, the angry gaze Godwyn was feeling became even stronger. The Golden Boy frowned and showed an expression of displeasure. Although Zeus had the power and status to be upset about something casual, he was not a simple demigod.

He was the prince of the Norse Pantheon, a true demigod who had a solid number of divine allies. Even Odin dared not attack him publicly, knowing he would be attacked from all sides.

Zeus was right to be furious that a foreign demigod prince had invaded his territory, but he was a prince after all and represented Norse royalty.

Godwyn refused to believe that Zeus didn't know him. It might seem narcissistic, but he is truly famous, even in other Pantheons.
