It was a cold and rainy night he is sitting in his wheelchair on the side of the road his tears intertwines with the raindrops in his cheeks " it's cold" he said in a shaky voice.
Rain seems to get more intense as if it's crying with him.
his clothes drenched " at least..... I'm not somewhere I'm unwanted" he keeps talking to himself as he caresses the wheel of his wheelchair.
He just keep looking down tears falling down as he relive a memory.
"useless lazy burden" words in distant memory that keeps replaying in his mind.
He gulps as he tries to hold back his tears from falling gripping the wheel of his wheelchair " you're strong.... you can get through this" he focuses his eyes forward in the road as he breathes heavily
Then something caught his attention...
A truck fast approaching on the direction a girl is standing.
He looks at the truck then back to the girl and shouts " watch out!!" He shouts at the top of his lungs
The girl who's standing in the middle of the road doesn't seem to hear or at least doesn't seem to care as she wears a very defeated face.
Seeing the truck is drawing closer and closer he quickly gripped the wheels of his wheelchair tight and do his best to make his wheelchair move.
"Come on move!" He forcefully make the wheels move rushing towards the girl's direction.
His wheelchair starts speeding towards the girl's direction as he keeps shouting but still no response.
Soon after he's near the girl he leaped from his wheelchair in a desperate attempt to push the girl away from harm
But it was too late as a blinding light of the truck gets so close
" well at least... no one will call me useless after this" he lets out a pained smile as the last thing that came into his view was a bright light from the truck.
Then everything went dark.
Suddenly he feels warmth. What's this feeling? Isn't it supposed to be raining?. He thought to himself as he tries to open his eyes
When He opened his eyes...
Fire there's fire everywhere and monsters left and right goblins, orcs and other monsters of various kinds and then he focused his eyes in front of him
In front there are 2 people
" i call upon the the flames that lurks underneath may my enemies be aware of your presence as i borrow your strength banish the foes that stood before me. FLAME ERUPTION!!!" With those words pilars of flames burst from underneath the ground and burned the monsters that's about to charge into the man.
Then right after the woman starts speaking " i am the bearer of storms kneel before me but I am not your ruler repent but i won't forgive your sins now here i stand to punish the unjust let the will of the wind bring forth the storm. HURRICANE!!! " then out of nowhere a group of tornado formed carrying the monsters that wasn't reached by the man's pilar of flames
That's amazing Is it magic?. He thought to himself
Then the woman noticed his stare as she then rushes in his direction and kneels and quickly hugs him he was a bit surprised just standing there as the woman hugs her " everything will be alright miho we will keep you safe alright?" The woman said as she tears up while looking at him before quickly standing up
He was confused after hearing the woman's words. Who is she? As far as i remember i was about to get hit by a truck. He thought to himself
And miho? Is she referring to me?.
The woman then quickly rushes in front of the man as she starts chanting "Life giving breeze to this day you've been nothing but nurturing however at this moment i beg of you to cast away your mercy and show your wrath to those who mean harm hear my call. AIR OF DOMINANCE!!!" The woman screams monsters got pushed back by an unseen force a strong wind.
Then as the man looked at her she shouts " go!!" She said as she blows away more monsters.
The man hesitantly looks before also quickly approaching miho then the man quickly kisses miho's forehead then caresses his head " we'll follow soon after Just listen to what azel says alright?" The man smiles as he looks behind miho.
Then miho looks back seeing a boy seemingly around his teens. I didn't realize it earlier he's been holding my hand. He thought to himself.
Then suddenly the man shouts "now go!! " he shouts as more monsters seems approaching
"All consuming flames-" the man says it seems he's chanting again but before miho can finish hearing what he's saying azel pulls miho away
Miho can't help but glance in his back as he watched those two people fight with all their might just for him.
Later as miho and azel runs together miho watched how the surroundings is a mess rubbles off supposed house everywhere and trees that fell off flames that doesn't seem to fade away.
Then later a goblin stands right in front of azel's path azel then starts forming a what it seems like a finger gun then he starts speaking a set of words " water ray" He said calmly finger still pointing at the goblin
Then a ray of water comes out of azel's finger it went so fast and penetrated the monster's head.
Woah. Miho thought to himself as he watches the monster fall.
Then as they run more goblins and several monsters of various kind appeared fortunately none of them appeared in groups as azel disposes of them easily with the same spell
Then later after the long run they found a house windows destroyed walls having some holes but it seem to have better condition than those the two of them ran into since it still has a roof in it
" i think this is the place" azel said as he scanned the house and opened the door
Azel then guides miho inside the house then azel looks at miho and scans him touching him checking if he has wounds " does it hurt anywhere? The monsters didn't hit you while i wasn't looking Right? "
Miho smiles at azel's gesture.
Then miho nods " yes I'm fine how about you are you hurt?" Miho asks as he looks at azel
Azel shakes his head as he smiles then caresses miho's head " that's a relief I'm glad you're alright"
Then azel looks through the broken window
Miho tries to look at the window as well but then realized that he can't reach it.
I didn't realize it earlier with all the urgency going on. Miho thought to himself.
As suspected I'm in a child's body. Miho thought to himself as he scans his own body
Growls of monsters can be heard close by but they don't seem to sound so aggressive or at least didn't seem to notice them yet.
Azel then looks at miho " we'll stay the night here" he smiles as he caresses miho's head.
Stay in here? But there are holes everywhere how can we be sure it's safe?. Miho thought to himself.
Miho made a concerned look as he looks at azel then points at the large hole in the wall
Azel shook his head as he keeps caressing miho's head "it's alright I'll watch over you just relax i won't let them close to you"
Miho lets out a skeptical smile. I guess there's nothing i can do but trust him
Then azel looks at miho as he then pinches his cheek " besides your mom said we should wait here that is if they-" azel's words trailed off as he shook his head
Then while azel is speaking miho got occupied by his own thoughts. Does he mean that woman earlier? why am i Here? How can i go back?
Then a memory resurfaced " useless lazy burden"
Do i... really want to go back..... ?. He thought to himself as he sigh
Azel seeing miho sigh made him concerned as he makes a pained smile then he hugged miho " Don't worry your parents are strong they can make it" he caresses the back of miho's head as if to comfort him
"I-" miho didn't continue his sentence as he lets out a sigh
I guess I'll be in this world for the time being.
