"Burn it," I said, my voice carried over the crackle of fire and the choking smoke.
"My queen, there are still…" The Beta at my side paused.
"Burn It. Do you think mercy will bring me what I seek? Do you think the moon favors hesitation?" I turned to him sharply, letting my eyes looked through the rising ash.
He lowered his eyes and gave the signal. The flames went high, covering up the village in a single move.
I looked at the burning building with a strange calm. This was the third neutral settlement in a week that I have been searching for the omega who had taken what was mine. And I must burn down everywhere until I see her.
Seraphina Hale, the name tasted bitter even in my thoughts.
"We found him hiding in the granary, Luna." A soldier came forward, dragging out a man that was already shaking.
