Seraphina's POV
After we ran to somewhere around the fortress, we decided to rest for a while.
"Myra… something is wrong," I tried to relax my body, holding my stomach as another wave of pain cut through me.
My knees almost gave in, the sand under my feet moved as the Moon shore Fortress was up ahead of us.
We will make it, the fortress was there standing like an ancient guardian that cut dip into the cliffside, its black stone glowed under the spray of the crashing waves below, but my body… my body did not even care that we would reach safety.
"You are in labor." Myra's hands were on my shoulders instantly.
"No, it's too soon, it can't…" I panted.
A sharp cry of agony cut me off, stealing my breath. My wolf's voice sounded through my mind, it was low and urgent. The child comes when it chooses.
"Please tell me this is some kind of false alarm…" Kira rushed to my side, eyes wide.
"It's not, get her inside. Now!" Myra said sharply.
