Chapter 13 - The Return of the Warehouse

On the way back, Rin couldn't cheer himself up.

Despite looking like a child, he sighed constantly and spoke dejectedly to himself.

"Sigh, why can't I sense it? I tried so hard to feel it all day!"

"Could it be that Kuroro lied to me... Well, it makes sense. In the Hunter world, with such a large population, how many people have Nen abilities? It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say one in a million!"

Seemingly trying to convince himself, Rin thought about it but then remembered what Kuroro had said, and his mood instantly worsened again. He spread his hands and gave up, saying to himself, "Forget it, I'm just an ordinary person, after all. I can't compare to them."

"Even if I can't learn Nen, this is the world of Naruto. Becoming a ninja isn't a bad choice either!"

"I remember a lot of the Naruto storyline, so I shouldn't end up too miserably."

At this point, he suddenly remembered something and frowned.

"Speaking of which... whether it's Ninjutsu or Taijutsu, they both require chakra..."

"If I can't train chakra either..."

Rin shivered at the thought and quickly spat.

"Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey, I can't curse myself!"

In his struggles and self-adjustments, Rin returned to Haku's house.

Haku, who was originally curled up by the fire, staring curiously at the flames with big eyes, ran towards Rin with a smile when he saw him come in, taking small steps.

"Brother... Brother..."

In just one day, the little guy had already become very close to Rin.

When he reached Rin, Haku didn't make any rude gestures. Instead, he twisted his fingers and stood obediently in front of Rin.

Seeing this, Rin couldn't help but smile. He lifted Haku gently and chuckled.

"Only one day apart, and Haku already missed his brother?"

Hearing this, Haku's tender little face blushed, but he nodded seriously and said, "Mm."

Rin laughed, put Haku down, and gently patted her head, saying softly, "Thank you, Haku. Brother missed you too."

"In the future, you have to protect your useless brother, okay?"

Rin suddenly thought that even if he didn't have the talent for Nen or chakra, it didn't matter.

With Haku and Kuroro by his side, and if he followed the storyline to recruit some allies along the way, as long as he didn't provoke the major figures in the ninja world, there shouldn't be too much danger.

Thinking of this, Rin suddenly felt much better.

During dinner, he even ate two more bowls of rice than usual.

The next day, accompanied by Kuroro, Rin continued to train in a corner of the village's forest. Despite following Kuroro's methods, he still couldn't feel the flow of Qi in his body.

However, this time, they didn't just waste time on this. At Rin's request, Kuroro engaged in light sparring with him, training in Taijutsu through mock combat.

After all, Rin didn't want to be a weakling with no self-defense skills.

"Bang—"

After attempting an attack, Rin's small body was gently deflected by Kuroro and once again fell into the snow.

Patting the snow off his body, Rin didn't give up, slowly getting up and saying in a low voice, "It's okay, let's go again!"

Kuroro glanced at Rin's slightly trembling legs and said calmly, "That's enough for today, Rin. You have no strength left."

Hearing this, Rin glanced at his shaking legs that could barely stand and sighed helplessly, "Alright..."

Then he plopped down, lying carelessly in the snow, staring up at the gray sky, lost in thought.

Kuroro walked over slowly and stood quietly beside him.

"Kuroro, don't you find it boring to do all these meaningless things with me every day?"

Hearing Rin's question, Kuroro glanced at him, then turned his head and said calmly, "If it's with Rin, it's not boring..."

"Besides... these are not meaningless things..."

Hearing this, Rin sat up, crossed his legs, and looked at Kuroro. "Kuroro, do you have any goals?"

Kuroro's eyes flickered slightly, and he murmured, "Goals..."

Rin gestured with his arms, tired but with eyes full of light. "You've come to this new and completely different world. Is there anything you hope to do?"

Kuroro remained silent momentarily before answering, "If I had to say... it's like before..."

"I want to take everything I desire."

Rin couldn't help but feel a dark line on his face. He lay back down and sighed, "That's quite a selfish goal. If possible, everyone would want to take whatever they want without restraint..."

"But most people have to follow rules, and... most people don't have the strength to take what others have..."

Rin glanced at Kuroro and smiled, "Don't worry. In this world, even Kuroro has to follow some rules."

"The strong here are really terrifying..."

Kuroro, somewhat puzzled, looked at Rin and asked softly, "Do you know a lot about this world?"

Rin nodded and pointed to the sky. Kuroro followed his finger.

Rin scratched his head and sighed, "Although I don't remember the specifics, if I'm not mistaken, the moon in this world was created by someone."

Hearing this, Kuroro's eyes widened with a hint of joy and curiosity, "The moon... created by someone?"

Rin nodded and said helplessly, "So, it's really worrying. It wasn't scary before because I wasn't here."

"But now, being in this world and knowing there are such powerful people, it's hard not to feel nervous."

Kuroro nodded in agreement, falling silent. They both quietly watched the gray sky.

In the nearly two weeks that followed, Rin still couldn't sense the presence of Qi in his body but continued to persist in his Nen training.

Mornings were spent listening to Kuroro's teachings on Nen training methods, and afternoons were for Taijutsu combat training.

After less than two weeks, Rin's body had become more robust, and his originally weak foundation was strengthened thanks to continuous consumption of nutritious food.

During this period, Kouichiro in the Snow Village didn't give up either.

He respectfully and sincerely interacted with Rin, trying to meet all of Rin's demands within the village's limited capabilities.

For example, arranging for the expansion of Eiji's house and having villagers bring wild game to Eiji's house first. Rin didn't reject these requests and even proposed some of them himself.

He simply wanted to enjoy a better life.

Additionally, he planned to bring some "benefits" to the village, considering these as advance payments for the villagers' efforts.

However, today, when Rin returned from training and opened the door...

Unexpectedly, like a ghost...

Accompanied by the opening door, the large, spacious warehouse appeared again before him.
