Chapter 14 - Pikachu

"Eh!?"

Without any warning, the sudden appearance of the warehouse startled Rin, causing his eyes to widen as he looked at the scene inside the door.

It was still the same as the first time he saw it. Even from a distance, he could see the countless life-sized figurines displayed in the center of the warehouse. Unfortunately, a layer of black mist always surrounded the area.

Rin was in good spirits this time. He thought for a moment and then stepped inside.

Once Rin entered the warehouse, the door behind him immediately disappeared, as if he had crossed into an enclosed space.

Surprised, he looked back and muttered to himself, "The door disappeared?"

"That's right... How did I get out last time? It seemed like I just touched Kuroro..."

Shaking his head, Rin didn't dwell on it further. He wrapped his thick coat tighter around himself, tensed his small face, and slowly walked deeper into the warehouse.

Although the situation was a bit eerie, Rin gradually felt happier as he walked. After all, seeing these figures he had painstakingly collected again pleased him, even if their life-sized forms were a bit intimidating.

"Now that I think about it, it seemed like I just touched Kuroro, and he revived... No, it should be said that I summoned him to this Naruto world..."

"So does the same apply to others?"

Muttering to himself, Rin turned his head, his eyes flickering slightly, and looked excitedly at a girl in a middle school uniform.

"Mikoto Misaka... Although I didn't greet you often, if I can summon you, I'll definitely have a good chat with you..."

He then reached out his hand towards Mikoto.

"Dang..."

Unfortunately, despite the transparency of the protective barrier around Mikoto Misaka not being particularly large, it firmly blocked Rin's touch.

After being blocked by the transparent barrier again, Rin felt a bit disappointed but could only sigh silently.

As expected... These guys aren't that easy to summon...

What is the rule, exactly?

He glanced at Accelerator, with his white hair and arrogant expression, standing next to Mikoto Misaka. After seeing the range of his transparent barrier, Rin helplessly looked away.

Damn, they're right here, so why can't I summon them?

If Accelerator were here, even in the Naruto world, as long as I'm careful, there'd be nothing to worry about!

Feeling troubled by the treasure mountain in front of him but unable to take out the treasure, Rin scratched his head and wandered around the warehouse.

Passing by Zoro, Luffy, Saber, Gilgamesh, Meruem, and others, the conflicted Rin almost wanted to cry. It was too torturous.

Summoning anyone else would greatly ensure his safety in the Naruto world!

Right!

Suddenly, as he thought about it, Rin's expression froze.

Why do I feel unsafe? I already summoned Kuroro... Is it because Kuroro lost his Nen ability?

Thinking of this, Rin turned his head again, looking into the depths of the warehouse, and muttered to himself.

"Is it because of the energy?"

"Kuroro lost his Nen ability... His strength is much lower than other members of the Phantom Troupe, so I could touch him and summon him..."

"Then..."

As he spoke, Rin walked deeper into the warehouse.

Stored here were some figurines he hadn't acknowledged for a long time, now standing alone in the darkness shrouded by black mist.

Seeing their state, Rin's eyes froze.

As expected, the transparent barriers on these guys are much weaker than those outside, with some as thin as a cicada's wing, seemingly breakable with a finger.

No longer picky, Rin nodded, saying in a serious tone.

"Alright, let's try again. Anyway, there's nothing to lose. Since I can enter a second time, there must be a way to come back again!"

"Let's first figure out the rules here!"

After carefully examining them, Rin finally chose a furry creature whose protective barrier seemed nearly non-existent.

"Let's see what happens!"

Saying this, Rin reached out and touched the creature.

"Hoo..."

The moment his hand touched the creature, Rin gasped, his young face turning pale instantly.

Last time, he was already feeling sick and foggy, so the sensation wasn't very clear.

This time, Rin clearly felt his body being drained of energy, as if death brushed past him.

His eyelids were too heavy to keep open, slowly closing.

With no strength left in his small body, he fell softly to the ground.

In a daze, as he was about to collapse, Rin seemed to see the snowy scenery around him.

Then, lying in the snow, a furry, yellow creature with big curious eyes stared at him.

"Pika..?"

Accompanied by a crisp, puzzled cry near his ear, Rin fainted without hesitation.

..........

Time passed without notice. When Rin groggily opened his eyes, he found himself lying in a warm room with a fire.

The firelight flickered slightly, and a shadow appeared in the room. Rin heard a familiar voice.

"How do you feel, Rin? Is there anywhere uncomfortable?"

Kuroro was squatting in front of Rin, carefully examining his face, his voice as calm as ever.

Hearing this, Rin shook his head gently and said apologetically, "Sorry to trouble you again, Kuroro..."

This time, Kuroro didn't dismiss Rin's apology. Instead, he looked at him calmly and said slowly.

"What happened after you finished training this afternoon?"

Rin hesitated, unsure if he should mention the warehouse.

Seeing his expression, Kuroro didn't press further, sitting back on the floor, speaking calmly.

"If it's inconvenient to say, that's fine. But your body is in serious condition now, back to its original state..."

"I thought the training during this period would make you healthier..."

"Now it's as if your body is weak, like a different person..."

Hearing this, Rin's face showed a trace of guilt. He knew Kuroro was concerned for him.

Now he seriously doubted if his previous actions were right, feeling they were too childish. What if something went wrong in the warehouse...

Thinking of the sensation of death passing through his body, draining his essence, he shivered.

Suddenly, Rin remembered something and quickly sat up, asking urgently.

"Kuroro, when you found me, did you see a furry animal near me?"

Hearing Rin's question, Kuroro's expression remained calm. He turned his head slightly and said softly.

"Oh, are you talking about that creature over there..."

"Not sure if it's from this world, but it seems somewhat dangerous. To avoid harming you, I captured it."

"Although I wasn't sure if it attacked you, I planned to make soup with it, thinking it might help your recovery."

Rin was startled by Kuroro's words and quickly turned to look.

Next to the fire, a cute, furry, dirty little creature was tightly bound and hung by a rope.

Sensing Rin's gaze, the little creature lifted its head, its big eyes welling with tears, and whimpered.

"Pika...chu..."
