Alysa knocked on the forge's door.
Liebe said, "Come in."
Alysa entered and said, "Dinner is ready. Let's go eat."
Liebe said, "Sure."
Alysa desperately tried to hide her tears, knowing Liebe was even ready to kill his own humanity for the sake of his goals. And it pained her to no end.
As they sat for dinner, Alysa said, "Today I made roasted chicken, bacon, and some fried fish—they were quite cheap."
Liebe said, "Nicee."
Alysa continued, "I also made some jasmine rice, udon, and a bit of beef soup."
Liebe said, "All this? What's the celebration?"
Yuna said, "If you cook something this good, I have to know why."
Alysa smiled, "We all made it to the next round, so let's celebrate a bit."
Licht said, "Damn! You've turned into a fine woman. I'm sure you'll make a great wife someday."
Alysa blushed, "Thank you."
Yuna said, "This is great. You have to give me the recipe sometime."
Alice said, "Same here."
Darel said dramatically, "Alysa, I hereby grant you the title: Goddess of Cooking!"
Yuna said, "Darel, that might be a bit much."
In this moment, Liebe couldn't help but think: The table feels nice. Everyone sitting together, talking as if there is no tomorrow. If only this moment could last forever.
But unfortunately, that was just wishful thinking.
