Licht said, "Okay, show me the mask."
Liebe said, "Here."
Licht asked, "What attribute does this mask give?"
Liebe replied, "Elemental."
Licht frowned, "What is that?"
Liebe explained, "All five—lightning, flame, water, wind, and earth."
Licht put on the mask. Immediately, it drained his magic power very quickly, but he could control all five elements. He quickly took it off.
Licht said, "I see. No wonder it was so expensive."
Liebe smiled, "You see."
Then Liebe went to the forge to work on the special armor.
"Vocare," Liebe said, and Gelda emerged from a portal.
Gelda bowed, "Lord, you asked for me."
Liebe asked, "How are things back at HQ?"
Gelda hesitantly replied, "Not well."
Liebe demanded, "Explain."
Gelda said, "Lord, after you left, Gabriel basically took over and he is the new vice-captain. His advisor, Dame Wills… well, the noble factions that were under our tight leash have started to break free. Despite the fact your mother wants to do something, she doesn't know politics like your grandfather. Your extended family has been pressuring her to let Gabriel do as he wants. The morale of the members has decreased quite a bit, and certain nobles aren't even paying their taxes as rebellion. If this goes on, this year we may rank second or third in the annual knighthood ranking."
Liebe said, "I won't allow that to happen. Give me coordinates on Dame's residence, and I will handle the rest."
As he struck his hammer against the armor, Gelda said, "I have been observing… it seems you are quite fond of your current creation. Even though your regular creations are as good as they can be, it seems you are especially fond of this one. May I ask why?"
Liebe said sharply, "Stop observing me without permission. And it's because they are all made with love."
Gelda asked, "Love?"
Liebe nodded, "If a creator can't love his creations, what right does he have to assume others will actually like them? That's why I love all my creations. And this one is the most perfect so far. It can even be considered my best creation to date—that's why I care. It's similar to why Alysa's cooking is so delicious, or why Licht is such a chess prodigy."
Gelda said, "I understand. The coordinates are 1176, 129, 1121."
Liebe said coldly, "The threat will be eliminated."
Gelda asked nervously, "Lord… you aren't planning to kill Dame, are you?"
Liebe said, "I am."
Gelda said, "Lord, but you will be killing a human, and it's against your principle."
Liebe said firmly, "No, it isn't. The day I decided to become a knight, I swore to protect the weak from the wicked—even if it meant striking down the wicked. I already killed a demon. It won't make much difference for a human. And it's for the best. I won't end with just Dame. First Dame, then my entire extended family, and finally Gabriel."
Gelda hesitated, "Lord—"
Liebe cut her off, "They are all guilty of treason. And my family? We both know they were bought out by Gabriel. That's their sin. It's because of them my mother is in such a mental state. I will ensure she becomes how she used to be. Even if it means burning the whole world to ashes."
Gelda bowed, "Understood. If you need anything, just ask."
Liebe said, "Here is the information on their crimes. Get a file ready. The report will be Tombstone, and I will make sure the evidence is seen."
Gelda said, "Give me two hours."
Liebe said, "You have till tomorrow. In one night, they will all be turned to ash. I want a separate file for each and every one of them."
Gelda said, "Lord, this list has evidence on over 50 people—from your extended family to Dame, to even nobles. How far are you planning to go?"
Liebe said, "Far enough to send a message that Black Rose does not kneel before anyone. And we cannot lose."
Gelda said, "Okay, Lord. See you in eight hours then."
