The reaction was instant: silence.
Hades barked a laugh that broke through that silence. "Five hundred thousand? For a kilogram! Even for hybrid seeds that amount is insane. You have got to be out of your freaking mind Sheldon."
"Come on Sheldon, that asking price is outrageous!" Kris stated. They were all greedy for money, that much was true but even greed needed to have limits. This was especially because of the times they were living in. Fortress Four was their safety net. No hybrid seeds were worth losing it.
There was a lot of murmuring in the room and so many people had opinions to share. But, most chose to remain silent, waiting for Sunshine and Hades' decision. At the end of the day, they would be the ones doing all the spending.
"He is joking." Jon growled at Sheldon.
Sheldon shook his head. "Business is business."
