Chapter 28 - Midnight Bar

Soon, in the very evening, Ava is seen drinking wine in a bar, and she is just wearing a blouse.

It is on the very night that she starts drinking her wine in a glass, she sips it as the music around it plays. The music was soothing, it was regal, but at the same time, it was very casual.

Ava continues to sip her wine as a way to relax. She wasn't talking to anyone except herself.

On occasion, she would ask the bartender for more wine before she gets drunk while her arms are on the table and her hands are on her cheeks.

She was wearing the blouse that was a part of her uniform and a medium-length skirt she had just gotten from her mother's closet.

Ava continues to sip wine in a glass; she manages to fool the bartender for a bit until the bartender looks at Ava with a rather skeptical mood, "You know for someone who's 22 years old and doing a master's degree, you do look young and pathetic."

Ava's head looks at him and winks at him with a teasing smile, "You would say that to my mother, too, right?" while her arms are atop the table.

Bartender softly smashes the table as a reaction and screams at her, "This is ridiculous, I am calling the security."

The Bartender called the security, where two men emerged with suits and dragged Ava in her drunken self, as she dragged her other patrons, who were watching, before the two men threw her out of the bar.

Ava landed outside the bar, with two security guards closing the door, leaving Ava rugged outside.

Ava felt pain in her body. Holding her palm, she felt pathetic and weak. She thinks about the time when she was with Yaren's circle, unable to even integrate herself properly within the group of people that Yaren is now a part of.

Soon, Ava makes an effort to stand up from the floor she had herself thrown on. Finally, she is already standing, and as she walks, she realizes she is dizzy as she can't coordinate herself properly; despite this, she resumes walking with enough effort.

And the more she walked, the sooner she realized something was touching her blouse, her hair head from above, she looked up and said Droplets falling in her body. Tangible touches and that feeling of water in her hair, and her blouse's shoulders

These droplets kept falling on her; it was clear that the weather was now raining. Sooner or later, she started to feel cold, and her homeostasis was clearly being assaulted. She started to have a runny nose.

She exhaled in desperation, "Somebody, help," reaching her hand out straight, as her eyes began to strain.

As Ava endures with excruciating pain, the rain culminates, her body starts to feel even colder, exacerbated by recent alcohol consumption, thereby making her susceptible to possible oxygen loss. Reminiscing about her inadequacy in Yaren's circle, even attempts of self-denigration as a 'freak'

Ava couldn't feel herself anymore; her breath started to feel more suffocated. The vision was blurry as she attempted to surmount herself through willpower alone around the megastructures.

It was hopeless, she feels she is going to die soon, she muttered to herself, "10 percent oxygen" Eyes were manic as she reached her hand out forward.

And said to herself with fear in her eyes, "I - I am going to die"

"I need - I need help," she pleads

Soon, a new GUI appeared in her vision; it was a textbox that said, "Warning: low amount of oxygen, sending distress signal now."

Where an animation showed five hollowed circles stacked together as they scale themselves higher before returning to a normal state on a loop

Where Ava's vision shows a text next after the animation, "immediate Medical Assistance paramount, Distress signal sent," where she eventually collapsed on the floor due to a lack of hydration as her vision finally faded, eyes closed.

For a while, nothing happened; the rain continued to roar around the grounds, and even her collapsed body was being swamped by millions of droplets, wetting her clothes and body.

Soon, a limousine of sorts arrived, and its door opened, revealing a man in casual attire, sporting a neat haircut while pulling out an umbrella as he exited the vehicle during the rain.

He walked near the collapsed individual, and soon the person's face revealed his objectifying brown eyes - nothing short of predatory.

The chauffeur also went out. She was a petite figure with short brown neon-streaked hair - she looked like a beautiful, petite android.

The man holding an umbrella looked at the female chauffeur, who was standing beside him, and ordered with authority, "Do a medical diagnosis on our guest."

The chauffeur nodded obediently,

Where the chauffeur touched Ava's collapsed body, while her cybernetic blue iris scanned the vital signs

The chauffeur looked at the young man with a report, "Sir, this woman appeared to be dehydrated.

The tall, imposing figure said to her, "Bring her to the limousine and prepare the interior's ergonomic protocols."

The android chauffeur nodded without saying a word as she carried Ava's body with strength into the limousine.

The android chauffeur was carrying Ava, who opened the limousine's door and placed her in the chair, where the android let the door open, and the figure in casual attire entered the vehicle.

With the android chauffeur bowing down, palms open as she allows the man to enter the vehicle, "After you, my lord."

Where the man entered, and the android entered the vehicle and sat in the driving position, as she began to engage the controls and the steering wheel. With the limousine about to take off, the ion thrusters on the fenders were engaged, lifting the limousine in the air before blasting off.

As Ava rested on her comfort chair while her school blouse was soaked, all the technology in the limousine hummed into life, revitalizing Ava.

Before Ava woke up, her deep-green almond eyes began to unravel. It looked around, it even looked down and saw her soaked blouse, and was shocked.

She expressed her exasperation, "I expected to be in a hospital, where am I anyway?" Her eyes were disappointed yet confused.

Spotting a man sitting there, the douchebag she knows from her college.

Ava closely looked at him, her almond eyes turned somewhat a little vindictive, "I assume that you're the one who saved me, yes?"
