Aria's POV
We left the cabin and headed toward the main mansion of the Northern Pack.
Alpha Kael hadn't lived there in years because he preferred the solitude of his cabin deep in the wild. But with the looming danger Alpha Jaxon of the Bloodfang Pack posed to me, Alpha Kael insisted we move to the heart of his territory. And Thorne, Draven and Silas has readily agreed with him without complaining about the whole arrangement.
He said it was for my safety, to keep me out of harm's way. And that had made my chest swell in a way I hadn't felt in years. Someone, no, four someones were willing to shield me from the world.
After the cruelty I had endured from my own parents, I'd never once dared to imagine life could be this gentle and this safe. To be loved wholly and fiercely by four mates who cared about nothing more than my well-being… it still felt unreal.
If anyone had told me this day would come, I would have laughed bitterly in their face.
