Chapter 165 - Chapter 165: The Results of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber

"Nappa!" Ariel exclaimed.

It was inconceivable that a big man had suddenly disappeared before her eyes.

In the end, she'd only seen a figure quickly enter the rice cooker within constantly rotating currents. Could it be magic?

There were indeed some space beings who sold magic tools in the Phaeda Galaxy, but those people usually used superficial deceptive methods. But what she'd witnessed seemed different—Nappa had actually disappeared!

"Don't be nervous—he'll come out soon," Raditz said with a smile.

He was just joking with Nappa and hadn't sealed the talisman. With Nappa's strength, he should be able to break through the restraints soon.

As soon as he finished speaking, the rice cooker began shaking as unstoppable powerful impacts made the ground tremble continuously.

Suddenly, a ray of light broke through the rice cooker and soared into the sky.

After a brief pause, the light fell to the ground, and in faint flickering, Nappa's figure emerged.

Sure enough, he was back! Ariel yelled in surprise.

"Huff... huff... huff..." His burly body heaved as he gasped. God knew what he'd gone through—being sealed in that dark, narrow space was like death!

"How was it? Pretty good technique, right?" Raditz asked.

Nappa swallowed hard: "Th-this move is too scary! If used by surprise, no one could guard against it!"

He still had lingering fears. He'd wanted to block that storm-like attack just now, but hadn't expected it wasn't an offensive technique—it dragged him into an inescapable vortex.

Even Vegeta would be caught off-guard by something like this, right? Nappa thought.

Raditz was also reminded and suddenly inspired. That's right—by surprise! No matter how strong Broly was, it was impossible to predict the Mafuba's attack. As long as he caught Broly off-guard, it was over!

"Haha, Nappa, you're absolutely right!"

"What did I say..."

"Again!" Raditz said excitedly and suddenly started.

"Huh?!" Nappa was taken aback, then shuddered as a familiar feeling of terror gripped his heart.

"No—"

Nappa, who'd just seen daylight again, turned and ran but was controlled by Raditz once more. Because Nappa was somewhat prepared this time, the lag between casting the Mafuba and hitting the target allowed him to escape some distance.

But the result remained the same—Nappa was still dragged into the vortex by the Mafuba, flew into the sky, then fell straight down.

"BOOM—" The rice cooker was damaged, so he fell directly to the ground, screaming repeatedly.

Raditz began gasping for breath. After practicing so long and performing two real Mafubas, he'd consumed considerable energy.

This burden was very heavy on mind and body—no wonder Master Roshi couldn't support it after just one use initially.

"The direction's still a bit off, but since you and Miss Ariel have a date, I won't continue practicing techniques with you."

Nappa was pardoned and quickly got up, making Ariel laugh again.

Master Roshi and Krillin watched from afar, full of surprise. It had only been half a day—how did it feel like Raditz had already mastered the Mafuba and was surpassing his teacher!

"It's really not my era anymore..." Master Roshi couldn't help sighing inwardly.

After the small episode, Nappa officially introduced Kame House, Raditz, and the others to Ariel, then took her around to begin their journey.

The two went away hand in hand, flying over the vast ocean. Zangya came to Raditz: "Aren't you going to tell them?"

"No need to bother Nappa. With his current strength, he's not qualified to deal with Broly at all."

What Raditz said was true. Even though Nappa had gained impressive strength after returning from Namek and improved considerably through experience, he was still far from Super Saiyan level.

If he faced Broly, he'd probably be knocked down with one punch.

Raditz couldn't help looking toward the Lookout, anticipating Goku and the others' growth. Before long, he devoted himself to training again.

...

The next day, Raditz took Zangya to outside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber early to meet Goku.

Goku had been waiting a long time, warming up and watching the clock, ready to take his turn. Mr. Popo was busy preparing change of clothes and daily necessities, running between the bottom of the Lookout and inner court.

"Time's almost up—why hasn't Vegeta come out yet?"

"He'll be on time."

"Hurry up, let me see the results." Goku said impatiently, fists and palms clashing, eager to try.

Just then, the door opened with a "CLICK."

An astonishing burst of energy vented from Vegeta's body, making everyone feel suffocated as if their hearts were being gripped.

An unprecedented sense of power suppressed everyone—Raditz couldn't help being stunned.

After a year of training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Vegeta's combat power had soared. Unlike physical training in gravity rooms, the void space could also improve mental state. A peaceful mind was conducive to strength transformation!

Today's Vegeta had surpassed Raditz!

"So strong!" Goku was shocked, sweat dripping from his forehead.

"Kakarot, have you noticed my great power? Even if you go in, you won't be able to surpass me," Vegeta said indifferently. "I can deal with Broly alone."

Raditz shook his head: "You're indeed powerful, but unfortunately you may not be Broly's opponent."

"Hmph, Raditz, how do you know I'm not his opponent! Want to test my strength?" Vegeta suddenly raised his hand, energy surging.

A wave of energy gathered in his palm, lighting up with yellow radiance. Though he hadn't transformed into Super Saiyan, his aura was no worse than after transformation. The scorching energy seemed to stab at Raditz with sharp edges.

His long black hair fluttered behind him as thousands of strands were blown by fierce winds. Brilliant light burst before him.

If this energy hit Raditz, the consequences were hard to imagine.

"Forget it." Vegeta suddenly stopped, and the energy ball about to blast out immediately dissipated. "I'll show you my power after you come out of the chamber—I hope you won't disappoint me."

Midway through, Vegeta turned to Goku: "And you, Kakarot!"

"Really? I won't admit defeat either!"

Goku clenched his fists tightly and nodded firmly.

"Let's go." Raditz waved to Zangya and walked toward the Hyperbolic Time Chamber door.

Goku followed closely, with Mr. Popo carrying supplies behind them.

The three passed by Vegeta one after another.

Entering the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the door closed. Vegeta snorted coldly and flew directly down without looking at the remaining Kami and Zangya.
