A year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber equaled only a day outside. The changes in time and space caused Raditz and Goku to work hard, but Zangya and the others spent the day as usual.
Time passed in the blink of an eye, and Vegeta flew to the Lookout on time the next day, waiting for the two to return.
In fact, he was quite worried. If Raditz and Kakarot surpassed him again, wouldn't his pride be crushed? On one hand, he had full confidence in his talent and hard work, but on the other hand, Raditz and Kakarot always gave him unexpected "surprises."
While he was struggling with these thoughts, the door opened and Raditz and Goku emerged one after another. There was no golden aura around them, but their hair remained golden yellow and their eyes green.
Vegeta instinctively felt something was off. They were obviously Super Saiyans, but there wasn't the slightest sense of strain. Because of this, it made Vegeta feel very uncomfortable.
"This is Super Saiyan? Why does their aura give me a strange feeling..." Vegeta muttered to himself with a puzzled expression.
Raditz had actually borrowed from Goku's training method in the canon timeline—maintaining Super Saiyan form at all times to adapt to the burden, making it much easier when fighting. At this moment, there was no trace of volatility in their calm auras, as if perfectly controlled within their bodies.
To deal with a monster like Broly, they had to elevate themselves to an extraordinary level.
Vegeta said coldly: "You finally came out. How was it? You weren't slacking off, were you?"
"One year really is a long time. It would be unbearable staying alone. Fortunately, Kakarot was with me. But with Kakarot there, even if I wanted to slack off, I had no chance," Raditz smiled wryly.
Goku's enthusiasm for fighting could be described as a raging fire—he kept looking for Raditz to spar with, so Raditz hardly got any rest.
Pushing each other in actual combat, both had made tremendous progress. Vegeta realized this but couldn't figure out how far they'd advanced.
Vegeta walked toward Raditz: "Since you're out, take me to Broly! I can't wait!"
"We still need to prepare."
Raditz pointed to his and Goku's clothes. They'd trained for so long that although they'd changed clothes many times, their outfits were often torn to shreds after short periods. What they wore now had become mere scraps of cloth.
Kami smiled: "That's easy." He had the power of transformation and could restore their clothes to new condition with just a gesture.
"Tch! Wearing Saiyan battle armor from the start wouldn't cause this problem!"
"My hairstyle isn't suitable for those new tight combat uniforms—the old style... the crotch is too drafty..." Raditz thought about his appearance in tight battle armor and quickly shook his head. "Zangya, give me that bag of Senzu Beans! Oh, and the talismans!"
Zangya responded and quickly handed a capsule to Raditz.
"Everything's in here—I've already applied the seals."
"Thanks to you." Raditz affectionately patted Zangya's head. "You're not coming this time—it's too dangerous."
"I know. You be careful too."
As the two talked, Vegeta tapped his fingers impatiently, his expression growing worse:
"Are you done yet?! It's been two days since you returned—Broly probably ran away long ago!"
"His ki can be detected no matter where he goes." Raditz walked in front of them and gestured with his eyes.
They understood immediately, placed their hands on Raditz's shoulders, and disappeared with a "WHOOSH."
The three first went to King Kai's planet, then followed the direction where Broly had last been detected to find that powerful ki. As Raditz expected, Broly's tyrannical ki could be clearly sensed even across the galaxy.
Following Broly's energy signature, the three teleported again and arrived at a strange planet!
This was no longer Bodo Planet. It was conceivable that Broly had destroyed Bodo Planet, but who knew how many others he'd wiped out since.
This planet was also nearly destroyed!
Though the planet still existed, it was covered with scorched earth and black smoke. All signs of civilization had vanished without a trace. Only endless desolation remained on the vast land, along with the pervasive smell of blood.
A figure as massive as a hill had his back to them, green hair standing up like sharp thorns as overwhelming aura gushed out, making him terrifyingly imposing.
"That's Broly? He really is amazing!" Goku whispered unconsciously.
Whether from excitement or nervousness, Goku's body trembled slightly.
Along with Goku's trembling, Broly seemed stimulated—his body shook violently!
He'd heard Goku's voice! That cry that had been noisy and disturbing in his heart since childhood coincided with the voice just now.
Broly turned his head.
"It's you, Raditz." He recognized Raditz, his spirit suddenly stirring.
Vegeta stepped in front of Raditz. "You're a Saiyan, so you should know my name—Prince Vegeta! Kakarot and Raditz don't matter at all!"
Broly froze for a moment, his colorless pupils suddenly brightening.
"Kakarot! Kakarot—KAKAROT!!!"
Insane shouts made the world change color. Broly's aura suddenly exploded as space shifted from color to black and white, then from black and white to dark green... Rendered layer by layer, echoing Broly's rising energy!
The air trembled violently with buzzing noise as deep cracks opened in the ground. The entire planet was shrouded in a depressing, oppressive atmosphere.
"This guy's ignoring me!" Vegeta's face suddenly darkened. He'd introduced himself only to have Kakarot inexplicably steal the spotlight—there was no reason for this.
At the same time, he was shocked by the violent power Broly displayed!
"Be careful!" Raditz suddenly shouted.
Before the sound could spread, Broly's massive figure had already rushed toward them at unimaginably fast speed.
Space within thousands of miles seemed frozen, with only Broly's figure flying forward. Tyrannical air currents swept across the world wantonly, cutting down everything like chaotic blades.
His thick arm slammed into Vegeta's body swiftly—as sharp as a blade and heavy as a massive hammer. The fierce attack sent Vegeta crashing to the ground!
The tremendous force pulled Vegeta into a straight trajectory as he fell.
Raditz took the opportunity to fire ki blasts, attacking Broly densely.
"KAKAROOOOOT!!!" With a violent shout, Broly exploded with energy, deflecting Raditz's ki waves with a casual swipe before rushing forward to grab Goku's head with one hand.
Though Goku had sensed danger and retreated quickly, Broly was faster and caught him instantly!
The deeply obsessed Broly had a special fixation on Goku. He roared wildly, picked up Goku, and rushed toward the ground, racing across several ruined mountains and grinding Goku's face against jagged rocks.
After scraping over the rocks, Broly released his grip, gathered an energy sphere, and aimed it at Goku!
In his fury, he was nearly invincible!
