"Now I know why you chose the younger brother. Your fiery personality matches Desmond's more than Calvin's," Grandma interjects the glare-down show happening between Leilani and Calvin with a laugh that cuts through the tension.
Realizing she's been indeed fiery since Grandma's question on why she chose me over Calvin, Lei calms down.
"To answer your question, we had to send your boyfriend away so harshly because of what happened that night, though I'm not sure I should be the one who reveals them to you. Although I'm sure he already told you if it's true that you two shared such deep love back then," Grandma gives me another pointed glare that lets me know she's not done with me hiding my relationship with Leilani from her.
Her anger makes sense though, because then it'd mean Calvin was in the wrong all this time and I was right. Fuck, Leilani is a genius.
