Chapter 35 - Leilani: Not alone

I look at myself in the mirror, running my hands down the designer gown I'm wearing. It's pretty, classy, and fits me perfectly now that the designer made the right adjustments to it. My makeup is on point, and my mother's diamond jewelry glistens in the mirror and complements the white dress just right.

It's perfect. A wedding I've dreamed of having since I was a little girl.

Only, it lacks the prince charming whom I would gladly allow to sweep me off my feet because I'm in love with him. It's lacking the emotion, an empty wedding that's all vibes and picture-perfect moments but not emotionally convenient—at least in the romance aspect.

Good thing my heart is now dead.

Thanks to Manon's powerful warnings and reminders about Desmond, I finally let go of my delusions about him that had started to grow on me since our reunion.
