Back in New York, Reed told Tony this. This was not something that could be discussed with the Captain; the old man was already overwhelmed by the world seventy years in the future, let alone a thousand years from now. Dealing with a future invasion could only be entrusted to Tony and Hank.
Everyone knew that the next time Kang arrived, he wouldn't be coming alone. He was the sovereign of an empire, not a lone brute.
"Ha, so after experiencing two alien invasions, we now have to face a future invasion," Tony laughed helplessly. "You know what the biggest problem is, Reed? Whatever preparations we make, that guy in the future can see them. We're practically working in vain."
"We can't just do nothing. My Multiverse Jumper is almost finished construction; it'll be done in about half a month at the most. Then we can seek help from other multiverses," Reed sighed helplessly. "What about the Avengers? What are they planning?"
"Hank thinks modifying Ultron or J.A.R.V.I.S. into a self-evolving AI could counter Kang, but we have other concerns."
The information from the multiverse made Tony uneasy. To counter a possible future Kang Dynasty, should they risk triggering an Age of Ultron? Was this really appropriate?
"What about the Guardians of the Galaxy?"
"They said they have to deal with galactic issues and can't manage Earth's problems." Reed felt that the Guardians of the Galaxy simply didn't want to get involved here. Peter first vetoed Gwen's idea. If Gwen had gained Spider powers right now, she truly would be a literal "Ghost-Spider," a Spider-Woman no one remembered—that would be too terrifying. As for now...
"First, we need to confirm that your ability came from Korvac and not from something else, like the X-Gene."
Peter looked at Gwen very seriously. Gwen stuck out her tongue, waiting for Peter to continue.
"And then what?"
"...I also don't think your ability is suitable for a superhero. After all, no one remembers what you've done.
