As the last pocket universe collapsed, the energy of the Cosmic Cube began to flood the entire space. Korvac's eyes glowed with brilliant blue light. Floating in the pocket universe of the Soul Stone, he stared at the countless versions of Kang below and gently waved his hand; all the Kangs dissolved into nothingness.
"He's still here!"
Korvac seemed to "see" something. He reached out into the void and directly dragged out Kang the Conqueror's true body, which was hiding in another time node he had created. Korvac then annihilated him completely, but even the bystanders could see a segment of green energy emerge from Kang's body, resurrecting him entirely.
Or, rather, Kang had set up a resurrection point, allowing him to revive at that specific point in time whenever he died.
"Korvac, you can't kill me!"
The reborn Kang the Conqueror reappeared. As he raised his weapon, his skin was violently torn away by Korvac, leaving only scattered muscles and bones. Human Torch watched, hair standing on end, only to see Kang reappear again.
"Korvac, you can't kill me!"
The utterly disrespected Kang reappeared yet again, only to be crushed into a ball by Korvac. The powerful Infinity Stone had no ability to resist in front of Korvac, and Kang was single-handedly destroyed over and over again.
Only Carol (Captain Marvel) sat on the ground, completely bewildered, before being helped up by Mar-Vell. She looked at the blue-skinned Mar-Vell with confusion. "I... what exactly happened?"
"It's a long story. We'll talk later."
Mar-Vell decisively chose to skip the topic for now. He led Carol backward, retreating, while listening to Adam's shout toward Korvac.
"Korvac can't keep this up! Your power is too strong! The Soul Stone is at its limit!" Adam cried out, clutching his head in pain. "I'm bringing everyone back to reality!"
"Korvac, you can't kill me!"
At this critical moment, Kang reappeared, only to be atomized by Korvac. Simultaneously, the entire world seemed to be falling apart. The surroundings turned into an endless expanse of blackness. Just as everyone was wondering where they were, they finally returned to the familiar scene in front of the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico. Before anyone could fully react, they heard Kang the Conqueror's next furious roar.
"Korvac, you—"
Thor watched Kang the Conqueror fly far away with the Mjolnir still pinning him down, finally turning around relieved. "I can confirm that Kang won't be back so quickly this time. I trust all of you are safe."
"Uh, thanks?"
"After all, none of your souls appeared in Valhalla."
Thor replied to Peter with a laugh. For a moment, no one knew what to say, but everyone turned to look at Korvac. Korvac looked back at them, controlled himself, and slowly descended.
"I think... I think I should probably go. This planet is too fragile; I might destroy it if I'm not careful. I've lost count of how many planets I've destroyed."
Korvac stammered, then looked at the crowd. "You will see me again, in some future, yes. I remember everything now. I was created by Kang the Conqueror. He tried to use the Cosmic Cube to conquer all eras..."
"But we won, right?" Peter looked at Korvac. "You came from the future where we defeated Kang, and that's why you came to us to help you get home."
"Yes—and no." Korvac floated in front of Peter and landed. "Kang the Conqueror, no matter how much he seems like a clown, is indeed the person who can change history without creating a new timeline, the one who creates new parallel universes. There certainly exists a way for you to defeat Kang, and I did come from there, but Spider-Man, the crucial part is whether you can grasp it."
"Can't you just tell us?" Human Torch mumbled from the side. Korvac explained, "No, Kang can observe all timelines. If I say it here, he will know how to circumvent it. But Spider-Man, be very careful of the coming Kang Dynasty. Kang will cause it sooner than he lets on..."
"Careful, Kang has escaped!"
Thor's expression changed upon realizing Mjolnir was no longer restraining Kang. Korvac's eyes once again emitted blue light, ready to annihilate Kang the moment he showed his face. This time, however, Kang chose not to attack Korvac directly.
"Korvac, the great Kang demands your surrender."
Kang appeared behind Carol. One of his hands had pierced Carol's chest at some point, and his other hand held the weapon capable of fixing rifts, pointing it at Korvac. "My Time Stone can reset this woman's state. As soon as you are destroyed by me, I can let this woman live."
Peter's spider-sense began to fade. He looked at Kang the Conqueror, took a deep breath, and quietly activated his invisibility. Kang scanned in Peter's direction but continued to speak without showing any reaction: "If you try to kill me, I will make sure this woman dies with me."
Peter quietly moved behind Gwen and tapped her shoulder. Gwen looked back, confused, then nodded in sudden understanding.
"If Korvac is destroyed, the escaping energy will directly destroy this planet," Reed (Mister Fantastic) immediately pointed out the flaw in Kang's plan, but Kang merely chuckled. "I believe the deep psyche of a personality composed of so many superheroes will undoubtedly choose to save everyone. He will not abandon any life."
"And Spider-Man, did you really think I didn't notice you?"
Peter immediately revealed himself, giving a mock salute. "Alright, Kang, you got me. But I didn't come alone. I brought a friend."
"Let's say hello."
The symbiote instantly covered Kang's body, pulling him away from Carol. It then controlled Kang's body to crawl aside and quickly escape. The pulled-away Kang immediately suffered another devastating blow from Korvac and died yet again.
"You must leave, Korvac." Reed looked at Korvac, who had landed beside Carol. He transformed his hand into a vascular network, maintaining blood circulation in Carol's wound. "Kang's target is you. As long as you can't destroy the Time Stone, or don't leave, this slaughter will be endless."
"I... I understand. I'm very sorry."
Blue light radiated from Korvac's entire body. Afterward, a small portion of the light drifted onto Carol's wound, healing it and repairing her torn clothes. He then looked at the crowd.
"Goodbye, my friends, and, see you in the future."
With the dissipation of the last blue light, only a small empty space was left in the middle. Korvac was gone, as if he had never been there.
