Above the dwarven city.
The crimson cloud formed by magic expanded even further, now covering nearly one-third of the city.
The flames in the sky resembled a meteor shower. One by one, massive fireballs trailed blazing tails as they plummeted to the earth.
The tightly packed beastmen were dealt a devastating blow. Even the tenacious high-level warriors were gravely injured by the fireball explosions. Many more were directly incinerated into charcoal.
No one could remain calm in the face of such a cataclysm.
The scorched black earth burned fiercely.
Charred corpses emitted a pungent stench. Acrid smoke and dust from the scorched ground choked every breath.
It was as though demons had descended from the Abyss to destroy the world.
This was the power of spellcasters.
This was why Mages held far greater status than Warriors.
When groups of spellcasters formed casting formations together, their power could decide the outcome of an entire war!
Led by Level 15 Shadow High Priest Emi and Level 15 Dark Priest Stanley, along with over a hundred third-generation Bloodline Descendants at Levels 7 to 9 and two hundred fourth-generation Bloodline Descendants at Levels 3 to 4. They all simultaneously drank Mana-Infused Blood, and had prepared this large-scale composite spell a full day in advance - Tier 4 Spell: Meteor Firestorm.
Its apocalyptic destructive power directly caused the ten-thousand-strong beastman army to collapse.
By comparison, the fierce rampage of the two powerful iron behemoths, Kosso and Castro, only stirred chaos among the beastmen.
In fact, once the beastmen recovered, the two would become primary targets for their counterattack.
But the appearance of the spellcasters directly shattered and collapsed the beastmen's strength.
Warriors were not weak in individual combat, but in the face of warfare on the scale of tens of thousands, they seemed utterly insignificant.
Even a colossus like Kosso could only unleash limited power once surrounded by sufficient numbers of troops.
But if spellcasters were granted the space and time to cast, they could immediately determine the direction of the entire war.
That was why Mages held such exalted status, because they were a strategic force.
At this moment, Castro was thrilled, unleashing the majesty of the King of Dawn Bats without restraint amid the flaming sky.
His heavy armor made him completely impervious to the falling fireballs. His extraordinarily high magic resistance, which rendered him immune to spells below Tier 4, allowed him to remain unscathed even when burned by magical flames.
In fact, cloaked in flames, his lethality only grew stronger.
To that end, he even used magic to coat his armor in fire.
Boom~
Another building was smashed to rubble. The beastmen hiding inside were instantly buried.
Some beastmen had fled into the dwarven city, but Castro's massive body and irresistible force delivered crushing damage to them.
Without the limitation of high-level combatants, this iron behemoth faced absolutely no pressure when dealing with beastmen below Level 15.
This was pure, naked slaughter, utterly devoid of mercy.
Boom boom boom~
As Castro dove toward another street packed with beastmen, a piercing whistle sliced through the air, massive ballista bolts fired.
Beastmen hidden in the shadows had concentrated all the city's ballistae in one location, these were the only weapons capable of harming the iron behemoths, the last thread of hope the beastmen clung to.
The arm-thick siege ballista bolts were terrifying weapons capable of piercing city walls. Even the thickest warrior shields couldn't stop them.
In the eager gazes of the beastmen below, boom boom boom~
The behemoth didn't dodge and was struck by the ballistae!!
But their elation lasted less than a second, next came a wave of cold dread through their limbs.
Bang~ a sound like eggs shattering against stone.
The siege bolts, which could pierce fortress walls, shattered outright when they struck Castro's abdominal armor.
The immense impact left only a few small dents in his armor.
They couldn't break through!!
Dozens of ballista bolts, the supposed beastman trump card, could not even scratch this behemoth.
The morale that had just been surging collapsed instantly.
Every beastman manning a ballista was now filled with despair. This had been a hard-earned opportunity to strike, but their last-hope killing weapon had no effect!?
The siege ballista couldn't even pierce the opponent's armor?!!
What kind of monster was this?! How could armor be this impenetrable?!
If that was the case, who could possibly defeat this iron behemoth?!
Even before Castro launched a counterattack, the beastmen had already fallen into hopelessness.
Though Castro took no damage, the impact still made his body shudder. He suddenly turned his head and glared at the beastmen below, who were reloading for another volley.
Rage burned in his heart.
"You dare to meet death head-on?!"
With a single turn, his colossal body lunged toward the dwarven ballistae.
Despite wearing heavy armor and possessing a massive frame, the King of Dawn Bats had not lost his agility. Bats, by nature, were nimble beings.
Though Castro could no longer be considered an ordinary bat, his body remained flexible.
Once again, shadows cloaked the beastmen, and with ten fireballs falling per second, the ballistae were engulfed in flames.
After one round of ranged assault, Castro closed in on the beastmen manning the ballistae. His terrifying form, spanning sixteen blades in wingspan, dealt a far deadlier physical blow to the despairing beastmen.
The remaining dozens of ballistae were reduced to charcoal after just two of Castro's dives.
The beastmen in that open ground were all claimed by death.
From this moment on, no one in the city could stop this newborn king's devastating swoops.
Outside the dwarven city, in the open field, Kosso's battle was even more brutal than Castro's.
No one could harm Kosso, who was clad in eight tons of armor rated Perfect★★★, just one step away from becoming Transcendent-quality.
The siege bolts that could pierce human shields struck his armor with nothing but metallic clangs, not even a scratch could be made.
Beastman long blades shattered on impact, spears broke on thrust.
It was pure gear superiority.
The only one who could slow Kosso's advance, even slightly, was Level 16 Wolfman Warrior Craig Shadowhunter.
But due to the massive equipment disparity, Craig's rare-quality longsword couldn't inflict much damage on Kosso's perfect-grade armor.
The Wolfman could only leave faint scratches, which meant nothing to armor several dozen centimeters thick.
What made the difference, however, was that if Kosso found an opening, the Wolfman would suffer a lethal blow.
No one could survive the damage dealt by a seven-blade-tall giant swinging a sword.
