I must tell him. I turn around and creep down the long tunnels of silk, hiding from groups of caterpillars and butterflies. Finally, I reach the tunnel where John is and shout excitedly, tugging on his pant leg. He smiles and says, "Thank you," before asking me to lead the way. I envelop his body, changing my colors to match my surroundings, and lead John down the halls toward the queen's room before detaching his body.
POV Change: John
As I pet his head and smile, I feel a sense of relief wash over me. I'm so grateful to have you, Ditto. I'd be lost without you, literally. I crouch beside the giant dome of silk and channel my aura to my finger, poking a hole in the dome and peeking inside. To my surprise, I find a giant Butterfree, much larger than the others in the nest. It must be the queen. Beneath the queen's wing, I notice a faint pink hue. I look closer and take a sharp breath, realizing it's an egg. She's a mother, and she'll be on higher alert, but that also means my eyes wander and stick to the wall.
On a large nest of silk, I spot a multitude of green orbs. They're so close to the queen egg that she'll be on higher alert because of it. As I look around, my eyes light up. Above the queen is a giant sack of silk filled with berries for her to eat. It makes sense that she doesn't want to leave the egg, as she can eat while it's there. But this will help us, Ditto. If I find the right kinds of berries, I can make a sleeping juice.
Alright, Ditto, hop on my shoulder. I reach up and climb the dome, reaching the top and reinforcing my hand with aura. I cut through the top, making a tiny hole just big enough for me to squeeze through, and crawl through, dropping on the sack. Peeking down, I let out a quiet sign of relief as I see she's still asleep. I throw out my poke ball, and Dreeepy emerges.
"Hey, Dreeepy, do you see those orbs down there?" I ask. "Phase through the flora, grab all of them but one, and make sure you leave one for the future queen. We may be robbing them, but we're not heartless. These guys need another queen, so leave a orb." Dreeepy nods and floats down, grabbing the orbs while leaving one and floating back up. Good job, Dreeepy. I pat it and pocket the orbs.
Now, let Ditto camouflage me and crawl out the hole on the ceiling. Alright, let's get out of here. My nerves are shot from being on edge for so long. I creep through the winding tunnels of silk for a while before the silk and webs start to shorten. The sun begins to peek out, and I smile, feeling the warm rays on my face. We made it. We accomplished it, guys! We did it! Haha!
