Chapter 1 - History Of Dust: I

Day 1

Honestly I shouldn't even be in this situation.

As a third rate 2nd generation Magus studying at the Clocktower, all I should be doing is keeping my head down and keeping out of drama. I've heard horror stories about what the older magus families would do to you if you even dare insult them.

I doubt you can even call me talented. Just lucky enough to be born in the modern age and learning under Lord El-Melloi the Second. He's a bit strict but genuinely a good guy, I guess. Founded the Modern Magecraft Theory department, even though he was just a third generation and received heavy opposition back then.

Thank god I have someone like him as my professor and not some stuck up heir.

I, however, am not as talented as him. Granted, I'm passing my classes, but that's just it. A faceless student who keeps out of trouble and minds his own business.

Yet it seems like Akasha had other ideas. The Tohsaka and the Edelfelt heir got into another scuffle again, as usual and knocked over some reagents they were carrying.

That was bad enough. But what was worse is that they contained traces of the Second Magic: The Kaleidoscope. Those traces were enough to probably level the building they were in.

(Un)Fortunately, that didn't happen. What did happen was a tear in the space time continuum appeared, probably because of the Kaleidoscope, and I was nearby.

Yup, you guessed it. I was sucked in. Now I not only have no idea where I am, I could be in a whole different century, or worse, a different world.

I'm leaning to a different world though, since I'm pretty sure there's no mention of the moon splintering even in the Age of Gods.

Now I can only twiddle my thumbs and wait for those two, or the Wizard Marshall Zelretch to retrieve me.

Wait, would they even bother to look for me?

FUUUUU-
