The sea had gone silent. The blood from his wound thinned into saltwater. Hikaru Kamiki was dead—pulled beneath the waves, his final breath stolen not by Aqua's hand, but by the weight of every soul he had crushed.
"I protected her... finally…"
Ruby would be safe. She would live. She would shine.
But he—
"I'm sorry, Ruby…"
He thought of Ai. Of Sarina. Of Gorou. Of the promises broken.
And then... he let go.
Somewhere Else.
Not sea. Not sky.
A space between death and judgment.
Aqua's soul floated through a vast silver fog, his body no longer bound by pain or form.
"You burned your life for revenge," a voice whispered. "And now the flames are out."
He opened his eyes—not physically, but with the mind's eye.
She stood before him: a creepy-looking child dressed in flowing white, She has long white hair and brown eyes that are always wide open, causing her to give off a disturbing stare.
Still her eyes were old—older than lifetimes.
"Tsukuyomi," she said. "Goddess of the Moon. Keeper of Regret."
Aqua stared, frozen.
"You're real?" he asked.
"Only to those whose regrets still echo louder than death."
She reached out a hand.
"You did what you believed you had to do. But you died before your story could end. And so, I offer you this…"
A mirror of water appeared beside them.
Within it: the day before Aqua committed murder-suicide with Hikaru.
"You may return to this moment. With your memories. Your truth. Your pain."
She looked him in the eyes.
"But if you go back… you must not chase revenge again. You must choose a different ending."
"Choose someone to walk beside, or choose solitude. But choose."
Aqua stared at the reflection.
He saw Ruby—smiling, before everything shattered. He saw Kana, Akane…
And then he looked at Tsukuyomi.
"…Why me?" he whispered.
"Because even in death, your soul still begged for a second chance."
She held out her hand once more.
"Walk again, Aquamarine Hoshino. And this time… don't walk alone."
He reached out.
FLASH—
He gasped.
He was alive again.
Hikaru Kamiki was watching B-Komachi's final concert on his phone, just like before.
But this time, Aqua didn't move.
He didn't attack.
He turned around.
"I still have time," he whispered. "And this time… I'll live."
From this moment, the story splits into multiple character-based routes.
Each choice leads to a different emotional journey and ending.
