Chapter 8 - Mark, let’s see who is stronger?

Before the blood could fall, Russell had vanished, reappearing far away, pulling the stroller with one hand and holding the mother with the other.

"My child~~" The mother reached out in despair, her screams not yet stopped, when she suddenly realized the ground beneath her feet had changed, and the baby stroller was right beside her.

"Thank you." Looking at the young man in the hoodie beside her, the mother quickly realized what had happened; she had been saved by a Superhero.

Holding her child, she was overcome with emotion and tears, thanking him profusely.

"You're welcome." Waving his hand, Russell vanished from the spot the next second, turning into a stream of light, transporting citizens who hadn't had time to escape from various battlefields to another block.

Transporting hundreds of citizens took him less than half a second.

"What's going on? Where did everyone go?" In the blink of an eye, everyone disappeared. The young Superheroes of the Youth Squad, Atomic Woman Eve and the others, were confused.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Russell ran rapidly around the entire alien army, gathering a fierce wind. His grey hoodie-clad figure blurred, and in the blink of an eye, a grey tornado dozens of meters in diameter formed.

The temperature between heaven and earth plummeted, the wind howled, and even the white clouds in the sky were torn apart. The Teen Team's members mouths hung open, retreating in shock.

The tornado, connecting the heavens and the earth, raged, sweeping up all the screaming alien soldiers, colliding them with debris like broken glass, manhole covers, streetlights, and gravel, turning them into a bloody mess as if thrown into a giant, terrifying grinder.

Even the alien force's few oddly shaped high-tech vehicles were no exception, pulled into the storm by the powerful wind.

"Get back to your own dimension!"

Guided by Russell's running, the violent hurricane swept towards the dimensional portal. The subsequent troops guarding the portal on the other side screamed, also being torn into the tornado.

With the sudden appearance of such terrifying individual power and heavy troop losses, fearing the opponent would kill their way over, the alien commander on the other side hastily closed the dimensional portal.

"It's just... solved like that?"

As the fierce wind gradually dispersed, Dupli-Kate was stunned by this natural disaster-like power, her mouth wide open.

"A speedster. Earth's database only has Red Rush with this level of speed, but his height and build are slightly different from Red Rush. Who is he?"

Having swiftly dealt with the alien force, Russell stopped and revealed himself. Robot, with his robotic body, scanned the figure from behind, emitting a questioning electronic voice.

"You don't need to tell us, we know.

He's not Red Rush, because he's not wearing Red Rush's iconic battle suit."

With his arm draped over Robot's shoulder, Rex-Splode, looking casual from head to toe, said mockingly.

"We should thank this person greatly." Atom Eve frowned, "That alien army was like an endless tide of insects, and we almost couldn't hold them off."

"Indeed. Without this person, based on my analysis, even without subsequent troop support, at least three hundred sixty to four hundred people on the plaza would have been killed or injured.

Some of us might also have been in danger."

Robot said seriously.

[Conquest Points +3

Conquest Points +7

Conquest Points +11...]

"So many Conquest Points, is it because they weren't provided by ordinary Superheroes, or because they came from plot characters?" Having repelled the alien army, Russell was surprised by the increase in Conquest Points.

A few points of Conquest Points at a time might not seem like much.

But earlier in boxing class, when he cleanly knocked down several later students, earning thumbs-ups from others, the Conquest Points increased by only zero point something.

These Conquest Points were enough for him to solidify the strength of nearly a hundred ordinary person templates onto himself.

"Hey..."

The Teen Team members were about to go up and greet Russell.

Whoosh!

"Everyone freeze, you aliens!" A figure in blue and yellow flew in rapidly from the horizon, the sonic boom shattering glass. He stopped in mid-air, striking a battle pose, and shouted sternly.

But then, seeing the empty plaza, he was puzzled.

"Cousin, where are the aliens?" Mark looked at the only person he recognized.

Although Russell was wearing a mask, from the familiar clothes, he could recognize his Cousin at a glance.

"It's already over."

Russell folded his arms and looked back at the late-arriving Mark.

"Over? Didn't they say it was an alien army?" Mark widened his eyes slightly in confusion.

He went home to change into his battle suit and rushed here, which took a total of five or six seconds. An alien army was defeated in that time?

Because his abilities weren't yet perfected, he didn't dare to fly too fast in the city, fearing the sonic boom he caused would inflict more casualties than the alien army.

"Hey, you're this cool guy's Cousin? You're a pair of Cousins?" Rex-splode greeted Mark, "A pair of super-powered Cousins, that's cool."

"I've always wanted a brother with the same superpowers as me since I was a kid, but unfortunately, I don't have one."

"I am Robot. You both look very young and have exceptional abilities. Would you like to join our Teen Team?"

As the leader of this four-person team, Robot walked over, his tone serious.

"Our Teen Team is a team entirely composed of teenage Superheroes."

"Hello, I'm Invincible." Invited by a Superhero team for the first time, Mark fumbled with his introduction.

"Invincible? That name..." Rex-splode mouth twitched, "That's so cringe, man. How did you even come up with a name like that?"

Dupli-kate, with her short hair, covered her mouth and snickered.

Russell had dealt with the alien army too quickly, and Mark arrived late, failing to display the power a Viltrumite should possess, plus he seemed a bit silly.

This made the title he had carefully chosen instantly sound like a chuunibyou's (middle school syndrome) name.

Atom Eve's expression was also slightly odd.

Only Robot, with his cold robotic body, didn't laugh.

"Ha... haha..." Mark could only awkwardly laugh along.

"Mark, now that we both have powers, how about a friendly match to see who's stronger?" Just then, Russell raised an eyebrow and looked at his mocked Cousin.

"Of course!"

Mark's eyes lit up.

He always felt constrained when with his stern father, but fighting with his Cousin would definitely help him get familiar with his power better, and he was very curious about his Cousin's abilities.

That alien army seemed to have been dealt with by his Cousin, who was standing at the center of the battlefield.

"A match?" The Teen Team members exchanged glances.

This person in the tracksuit and mask had the destructive power of a natural disaster, and this seemingly slightly silly kid could actually fight him?

Could it be that they had underestimated the other party?

"Sorry, we're leaving now." Russell raised his hand, acknowledging them, and left a afterimage on the spot, disappearing.

Mark ascended and followed closely.

"They're both so fast..." The others wanted to join in the fun and see what it looked like when the two fought, but in the blink of an eye, both were gone, disappearing as if teleported.

"They are indeed fast." Looking at the sky, in the direction Russell had left, Atom Eve's pupils constricted slightly.

She could keep up with the speed at which 'Invincible' flew away.

But this 'Invincible's 'Cousin', she could only barely see the blurred trajectory of his departure.
