Chapter 7 - Goblins Don't Play

I didn't know what the creepy, looking goblin wanted to do with me. I struggled to free myself as the goblinlike monster dragged me away from the Alive at Midnight Mansion.

I turned and looked up at the attic window at the haunted house. I watched from the top of the window, as the party goers were running wild in the upstairs attic. Like something was after them.

I couldn't see what was really going on. Because everything was dark and shadowy. Trying to get the goblin's attention, the mean-spirited imaginary creature came up to a large, dead oak tree in my backyard.

My heart was thudding heavily in my chest. The goblin stopped at the big, dead apple tree I had growing in my apartment backyard. The goblin held a glowing wand in his hand.

He pointed his wand at the tree. Making a wooden door appear at the bottom of the dead apple tree in my backyard. Then, the goblin grabbed hold of me. And stood me up to keep me his prisoner.

As the goblin creature put silver cuffs on my hands, the green, ugly creature walked over to the wooden door at the apple tree. Taking his glowing magic wand, the goblin tapped it three times on the doorknob.

It squeaked open. As the goblin and I stepped back. Looking at the golden yellow warm light coming from inside of the living room, the goblin creature grabbed hold of me. And shoved me inside of the tree fort.

He slammed the door and locked it with his glowing magic wand as we entered the treehouse. The goblin took off his black leather cape and put it on a coat hanger. Next to the front door.

Not knowing what was going on, I looked around the bright, yellow candlelight glow in the living room and kitchen. I turned to look at the goblin who was taking off his brown sandals. While making himself at home, walking around barefooted.

"Please, let me go," I pleaded. Before the goblin walked any further into the kitchen. He turned around and growled at me. He walked over to me. And took his pudgy green hands. Then, slapped me.

I cried out as I found myself being knocked to the ground in the treehouse. "Shut up, slave!" the goblin rasped, angrily. "I will let you know when I need something from you," he snapped at me.

Sprawled over a red, cotton rug in the living room of the glowing lighted candles, I just winced in pain. Trying not to do anything to upset the wild creature, I worried it wasn't a good idea to mess with dark magic.

I had to think of a safe plan to get me out of this trap. Before any of this gets worse for me, I don't want to do anything to make him mad.

I groaned and sat up. Then, I looked around the inside of the treehouse we were in.

There was a living room next to me on my right side. Where I saw there was a love couch and small fireplace in front of it. With a warm fire going in it. I looked around the living room some more. And saw the walls were covered with portraits with other goblin creatures in the pictures hanging on the walls.

I gasped when I heard the goblin creature opening the small, white refrigerator in the kitchen. Getting to my feet, I slowly walked into the kitchen where I saw the goblin grabbing something in a cold, plastic cup out of the fridge.

I wondered what he was up to. It smelled like he was cooking something. Looking around the kitchen, he walked over to the stove bar in the middle of the kitchen. He had a silver pot on the stove. It was on. And the pot was bubbling with hot water in it.

Taking the clear plastic cup full of what looked like thick, ectoplasm in it, I watched. As the goblin poured the thick gooey liquid into the pot on the stove in the kitchen.

Then, after he poured the ghost blood into the bubbling water pot, it started to sizzle and smoke. The goblin grabbed a silver spoon next to the stove. And then next grabbed a small like test tube beaker on the kitchen table, next to the stove table.

And I continued watching. As I saw the ugly goblin pour the liquid of ghostly ectoplasm into the test tube, he held in his hand. Suddenly, it turned another color. From clear white to ghostly pale liquid to a sick pea green ghost blood in the tube.

The goblin smiled and laughed. Holding onto the glowing test tube, in his hand, he turned to look at me. "It's ready, kid. I have something you'll need to take. To believe in us," he said, smiling, showing his sharp teeth.

Backing away into the wall in the kitchen, I was getting nervous and anxious and around him. But he wasn't going to keep me from ignoring the goblin. As he continued shuffling his feet toward me, I knew I had to find a way out of the tree fort.

"Don't worry, it's not going to hurt you, kid," the goblin said. I didn't take my eyes off the goblin creature. Coming at me, with some kind of liquid in a tube beaker in his hands, there was nothing I could do to defend myself.

As I tried to run away from the goblin, the creature grabbed hold of his magic glowing wand. And zapped me in the face with glowing sparkly dust. There was nothing I could do now. But stay frozen in place. My eyes were glowing. As I watched the goblin laugh and saunter over to me, closely.

Then, he grabbed hold of my face. And forced me to drink the bubbly liquid of ghost blood down my throat. After drinking all the liquid, the happy goblin creature jumped up and down with victory.

Trying not to choke and cough on the poisonous liquid the goblin forced me to drink; he tossed the empty test tube beaker into a waste basket next to the kitchen stove.

Looking at me with curiosity, the goblin walked toward me. As I continued coughing and sputtering. I expected the liquid medicine to have some kind of sick taste. But it was sweet like chocolate.

"Why did you do that to me?" I finally asked the goblin. Before I could do anything to protect myself. I gasped and watched as my cuffed hands started to glow.

Then, as I continued to watch in horror, my skin was turning in thick, sick green scales all over my body! I didn't like what was happening to me. But I knew I would never get the chance to understand what really was happening to me.
