Chapter 4 - crucifix chapter 3 visitor from above

captain thomas was among the men of the 1st division who were on top of the wall.

they were watching from above.

at the men who were below.

they had been drilling into the ground for weeks now.

it was a task which he'd given his men.

a task which the general had given him.

the underground was a perfect place to keep the bodies of the possessed.

burning and burying their ash altogether.

perhaps.

this could stop the virus from spreading.

virus.

he thought of the word he'd used to identify the problem which the city was currently facing.

it had been up to half a century since the attacks started.

from the darkness. from the angels.

yet. it was still coming.

the wall was built not too long ago.

to protect them from destruction and ruin.

every now and then.

they came.

sometimes they were much but sometimes they were few.

the creatures of the night was their nickname.

captain thomas had never seen anything like them before.

especially the angels who had some how developed human bodies with wings attached to it.

these humans had black eyes.

it was like they had no souls. instead. they had become devil's.

luckily for them. they were not angels who had wings. before the wall was built years back.

it was a blood bath. they came with their numbers. with only one aim. to kill and destroy everything in sight.

now. it was impossible because a wall had been built.

the creatures of the night couldn't pass without being noticed first and this led to their ultimate demise.

their bodies were thrown into the hole and burnt with fuel.

their military camp was stationed near the wall.

this served as the first line of attack.

anything coming would have to pass through them first.

it was a brilliant strategy which the general had come up with.

the second gate which lead to the main city was just ahead.

he stared at the large city with eyes full of hope and despair.

this was their home.

one of the surviving cities which was still standing in england.

evil forces might have been blocked outside.

however. they was no telling what was inside the walls.

the captain was simply doing his job and so was his men.

the sun was out in the sky.

it was bright and hot.

they were all sweating due to the heat.

"sir."

"we have incoming."said one of the men who was on top of the wall with him.

captain thomas turned around and stared at the desert land which surrounded their city.

he saw someone walking toward the wall.

he was dressed in white clothing and he was also white in complexion.

"you're gonna need this sir."

the soilder gave him a camera and he used it to take a closer look at this stranger.

at first. he thought that it was a possessed man who was wandering the desert land.

however. upon close inspection.

it didn't have black eyes.

his eyes were blue.

it would seem that the man was staring at him.

"who the hell is that?asked thomas.

he returned the camera back to the soilder and then he picked a speaker phone and then he yelled into it.

"who are you?

his voice echoed through the speaker that was on the left tower.

it wasn't clear enough cause it came out making a distorted sound.

"everyone." he yelled.

"aim at the Target."

"on my command,I want you to fire."

the soilders. as if being controlled.

obeyed his voice and pointed their guns at the man who was standing outside the city.

captain thomas observed with the camera once more and that was when he discovered that their target was bare footed.

who could he be?

he asked himself and without receiving any response.

thomas raised his right hand up while the camera was in his left hand.

"when I say fire."

"you fire."

the man was still standing there.

he was staring at them.

there was no trace of fear in his countenance.

and worse still.

there could not hear him from the distance which he was standing.

thomas was convinced that this person wasn't ordinary.

no one dared to wander alone in these dry deserted lands which was inhabited by demon possessed individuals.

his guts told him to kill him on the spot where he stood.

how could he have survived alone?

thomas glanced at him with the camera in his left hand.

there was noting in his possession and he was unarmed.

"what do we do sir?

one of the soilders asked.

his men were all ready and in position. their guns were pointing at him.

all he needed to do was give the order.

"he could be a threat."

another soilder said.

"sure."

"he could be."

replied thomas.

"I'll have to find out."

"open the gates."

he yelled and began to walk down the stairs which lead to the ground.

the iron gate which also formed with technology and electricity began to open.

thomas walked past the gate with a pistol in his right hand.

he was accompanied by five soilders.

he had gotten close to his target before speaking.

"who the hell are you?

"raise your hands where I can see them."

thomas said.

there was an angry countenance on his face.

he didn't want to regret his decision.

shooting this man would have been a better option than coming down to question him.

only God knew what kinda man he was.

the stranger had obyed his command and had raised his hands up.

"my name is leion and I am an angel from heaven."
