the celebration continued after captain thomas and his men arrived and left with napolion.
the prisoner who was a fallen angel was sent to the prison.
a facility which was used to keep humans who were dangerous and creatures which were caught within the city walls.
angels weren't the only beings that sceard the shit out of the people.
there were creatures who were far more superior than the night walkers which had wreaked havoc on the earth through possession.
the city of Ell was a territory which housed the humans who were existing and living within the city boundary lines.
it was a project called safe house.
the leaders had tried their best to survive with the cities populace at the time the wall had not been built.
the general had not forgotten the massacres and the blood baths.
the arrival of the angels ment the end of times.
five of them could kill a hundred men without being stopped.
with the help of advanced technology.
weapons were made and so were advanced body amours which were made to combat these beings.
the 17th century was a time when science had seen and experienced breakthroughs both in defense and attacks against evil.
and with each day that passes. it grows, it croupts and seeks to influence everything concerning humanity.
napolion wasn't a religious man. even tho he attended churches in the city.
he often did so out of habit.
he didn't believe in the love of God.
how could he?
after all. he'd cursed humanity to witness his greatness and powerful creations.
if he was to be sincere.
he feared God and he wasn't comfortable with the idea of his love or his protection.
he believed that God was never interested in saving humanity.
presently. the idea of eternity was peaceful in a world which had fallen to the will of evil.
a broken planet.
no one was safe.
the city of Ell was fortified against these kind of things. however. the wall wasn't going to protect them against these angels.
humanity, with it's intellectual power had managed to fight back and this was why they had a fighting chance.
how long could the war go on?
so far. they had not been any news of angels for years now.
the anniversary which was the celebration of the wall since it was built
20 years ago.
it had been 30 years since the angels had attacked.
before the wall was built.
their intention was unknown.
their aim was to kill as many humans as they could.
that was their plan all along.
humanities population had decreased every since their arrival.
continents had been invaded.
nations had become unstable.
loosing it's government altogether.
countries had been destroyed.
so far, humans did well to live together in Large population.
their numbers mattered more.
Nathan wasn't himself. not after what he'd witnessed. at his father's inner room which he used as a living room for guests.
it was a being or creature which the people feared. the angels.
he believed they were supernatural creatures which had appeared during early creation. their work was to do Gods will.
divine messangers who manifested their presence in any way they wanted.
he'd read the stories in the bible.
however.
this wasn't the early days of creation.
nathan believed that this was the end of times of creation.
noting would change his mind of this assumption he had come with.
he knew what they were capable of. knew where they came from but their mission was unknown.
their intention was already seen in their actions. complete anahilation of man kind.
these were superior creatures which hated man's gut..
they could not be compared to man who was purely physical on earth.
without their intellect. they were noting.
the sound of his engine was loud as his bike moved in full speed.
he was heading toward the first gate.
the arrival of the 6 winged creature which he'd seen a few hours back couldn't leave his mind consciousness. it was terrifying.
he was mostly confused and Nathan didn't want to doubt or question his fathers decisions.
however. he needed answers now more than ever. nathan had recently joined the elite group of soilders who were called angel hunters. a group which was specialized in killing angels in case they attack as they have often done before.
it belonged to house stewart.
however. Howart stewart wasn't in charge. rather. it was specially organized and it's members were hand picked scientists, soilders. even among the ranks of the newbie recruits of house stewart.
surly, news would have spread. of the angelic being.
the outsider was in prison and his words were not taken lightly. all they knew was that he was a threat to their very existence.
he needed to know what was going on.
the time on his bike was 8:30.
he'd passed the second gate. half the cities population were in the main city. his goal was to find captain thomas and ask him questions concerning the stranger.
eleanor was present during the meeting in the inner room. no doubt. she would have questions. questions that needed answers.
after all. their mother had died during the angel attacks. before the wall was ever built.
it had been 37 years since their mother had died and their father. napolion was now a former reflection of what he once was.
their mothers abscence had changed him completely. the city was celebrating it's success in the building of the wall but instead. he thought. they were better off celebrating their loss.
eleanor was their fathers favourite child. she was quite stubborn while she was younger. when their mother was alive.
napolion of house hills. he was a part of the military. a high ranking general of his own.
a generals son.
this ment something within the city walls only.
outside these walls. without the people who lived with him. he was noting. just Nathan of house hills.
his influence was known within the city.
he knew his worth.
however. he wasn't stupid enough to go against his father.
his father was still alive and he valued his presence. even tho they weren't close. he'd been tasked to look for his sister. she'd been missing for 2weeks. before unexpectedly showing up today at the party.
he'd checked the church where she used to pray.
their mother often prayed there while she was alive.
however. during the attack. the angels destroyed the church. killing everyone who was present.
she'd died protecting the people of the city and he swore to do the same.
napolion hills wasn't in his right thinking mind when he returned from the inner room.
for some reason. the outsider who was an angel terrified him. with everyone presently aware that he was the general.
how could he bring himself to tell them of an upcoming threat that they had faced before.
these angels were monsters.
he'd witnessed their destruction first hand.
the musicians were still playing their instruments and he'd came back just in time to see the elder men give their speeches in the high stand.
his mind was clouded with fear. at his table. howart of house stewart and ed ward of house folly were the leaders who were in charge of the city of Ell.
edward seemed to have noticed his change of mood every since he came back. he couldn't but to stare at his friend while drinking wine from a glass cup.
"don't you want to lift a burden from your mind old friend? asked edward.
"you seem disturbed."
napolion sighed and held his nose with his Left hand fingers.
his eyes were closed.
"what do you mean? he asked.
he'd adjusted himself to his former sitting position. back rested and relaxed.
"you look upset."
howart stewart wasn't concentrating on their conversation.
he was staring at the musicians as they performed.
Edward was rather attentive and he was curious as to why soilders would bring an unarmed chained prisoner to see him during their celebration. was this a matter of urgency.
"it's something I should tell both of you."
napolion said.
edward face turned into a frown as he looked at howart.
he noticed quite quickly, at the frowned up face that was looking at him.
his eye brow furrowed as he stared at his old companion.
howart was wondering what this was about while staring at Edward.
"it's an angel."said napolion.
"we have one presently in our prison."
"the man in chains."
there was a hint of curiosity in his tone and that of surprise.
howart seemed to be paying attention.
"it's impossible,I didn't hear any gun fire."
"that's the thing."
napolion countenance was serious now as he stared at them.
"he didn't come here to fight but to deliver a warning."
"what warning? edward asked and leaned forward.
his hands was rested on the table and a troubled countenance could be seen on his face.
"war is coming."
