Chapter 9 - Chapter 9

I'm walking up to chaos flowing through the veins of the facility; people running, fires crackling, somewhere, dead on the floor. The place was massacred. A piece of the ceiling fell next to me...the place was collapsing. I got up and walked out of the door, which was broken open, assuming they did it after they left. Callith was trying to keep me alive, and I know that much. Why does he need me?

Around the place got dark, and the power went out in some areas. There were bodies of both prisoners and guards; only a few prisoners were walking around, beating each other up, and some were even crazy enough to cannibalize the others. Things got serious real fast after I went unconscious. But just because I may not make it out alive, doesn't mean I won't try. I walk through to the place in search of an exit or window to go through. Though I know I was underground at the moment, at least by two stories below.

I found a stairwell and went up I picked up any weapon I could find, getting my hand on a combat knife. I made my way out the nearest door, finding my way into the light. Vehicles were totaled and on fire, while tire marks told me people drove right into trees. One thing caught my eye, though...it was Dr. Lammy crawling out of a jeep. I walk right up to her, holding the knife to her to make sure she doesn't try any tricks.

"This is your fault, you put us together, and this happened because of it." I said.

She coughs out the fumes and laughs. "Great, now you are out, you guys are monsters who kill innocent people. None of this would have happened if you hadn't broken the law and murdered anyone." She said.

I thought about it and nodded with agreement. "Yes, it is my fault. What I did was wrong, but I have changed, unlike you. You are a monster yourself; you toy with the lives of others."

"So, are you going to kill me, or are you going to save me?" She said.

"No, that's not me...you can find your way to the light. Ferwell." I said.

I walked away from her, and she screamed and yelled for help, begging me not to leave.

"Wait, (Coughfs), don't leave me here to die, I would have let you live, I swear, please?" She said with her last breath, and there was silence after those moments.

The air would've been hard to inhale with all of the toxic black smoke and fumes. That didn't mean I killed her, though, at least not by my own hands. For now, I made my way through this dense forest until I found civilization.

Meanwhile, at the whereabouts of Callith and Callum

Both were headed to an old abandoned church house, the same one where they were born. Ryoth spoke to head there, to the altar. Both of them traveled to where they were ordered. When you are asked an order by a literal god, you better follow through or you will regret it in to most painful way imaginable. And no one wants that now, do they?

Throughout the night, they both went relentlessly to their destination. They found it, entered the place, and walked up to the altar where the voice echoed closer to their minds only.

"My only champion...you made it in time..." Ryoth said, speaking through the air.

"What do you need us for? What will you do when we set you free?" Callith said.

"To get my revenge on the one who cast me out of the Heavens and sent me far beyond the universe...God himself." Ryoth Said.

"Father, give me power, I need more of it, I want this world to die just like you," Callum said.

"There will be a great reward if you do as I ask..." Ryoth Said.

"I need seven sacrifices, behead them over this altar as their souls will smash open the gates to let me through...your first target is Cain Franklin, the rest of the cult who fail the job I gave to them, they will not die in my honor," Ryoth said.

They both head out to find their targeted people. The first step was the police department, which would tell them anything they needed to know.

Leon's whereabouts, somewhere in the forests of West Virginia

Tree and branches everywhere, and I never got this close to nature, I never got to breathe outside peacefully...rarely. My wants to stay and embrace this had to wait, I had to find my brothers and stop them from making a horrible mistake they are about to make.

"You won't make it before I am out...you will be too late before they find the first people whom I told them to fine," Ryoth said into my mind.

When he talks, it gives me a headache that won't slow me down enough. I was beyond pain as it was beneath me. It was meant for the weak, to make them stop doing what they do best, but I will never be stopped by suffering again.

I soon find my way onto a roadway in a town. I used the night to my advantage, so I could get around freely without being noticed. On the streets of Charleston, West Virginia. If I were going to find them, I needed to find their trail of chaos that they left behind.

I look up at the sky, seeing strange flying vehicles with spinning flat plates. I thought I heard of them, they were called helicopters, I wouldn't know much about the world as I was left inside that house back then. I knew that meant they were heading somewhere, that may have problem going on. I followed behind them. I wasn't armed with anything good, but I feel like if I try hard, there is a chance I could at least talk them out of what they are about to do.

"I won't let you both make this mistake..." I said to myself. It was more of a way to keep my motives in check.

"What are you trying got do, child? Are you sure you can stop all of this by yourself?"

What was that? It felt like...another? Ryoth? No, this was someone else...my head was okay, everything numbed away as I faded into a flicker. I was inside a bright place, the opposite of a void. "Who do you think you are to keep going on like this? You don't look like a worrier to me...but you seem so desperate to do what you need." Was this God, or just a messenger?

"...where am I, who is this? I can't be here, people will be in danger if I don't change this...let me out." I said into the light sky.

"Your sound of pain and suffering. My child? Mo, you aren't one of mine, but you betray him. I am proud that there is still greatness within a bloodline. You aren't like the rest of the fallen, because you chose to help for others' sake."

"I-I don't like this. I never wanted to hurt anyone. I am sorry. I will pay for my actions later, after I fix this...just let me out of here. Please?" I said.

There was a long pause, and the words "Wistness this" I saw a dark place, a village burning, and a monster devouring people. Everyone was afraid and scared, but there were still those who were brave enough to try and fight back - people like me. But when one bad Idol does bad, others follow behind. That bad was cast out of the universe; best keep away from good.

"I see what happens, young one, you are brave for still trying, I have more faith in you than in myself."

"Why is that? Are you scared like I am? Because I know even you can be afraid. God?" I said to him.

"I am afraid of what my creations can become. I want my children to be great like their God."

Then I was back to where I was. No time had passed? I went back on my journey, I know where I need to head...the very place I was born.
