Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

I started, and the cold metal table under my hands. The next day had come and I was put back into the intorgation room with Dr. Lammy. This time, she looked serious and determined to force me to talk.

In her hand was a taser. "Great, I think I know what's going to happen if we don't talk now. I couldn't stay here. No one should ever have to go through this." Everything I said, she would only listen to the parts she wanted to believe. Even if I told her that what I did was to protect another human being, it didn't even matter because she didn't care.

While I told her stuff, she jotted it down in an notebook. "You said it was to protect someone, you said you did the right thing. Killing is against the law, regardless of the reason!" Said Dr.Lammy.

The only things I could tell her were why I killed Noah and Tamm and what went on in that house. The torture cut deep. Years went on, and no one had a clue that two adult were tearing their son apart.

She pulled out a file with my mug shots. My face had seen better days, man, I looked so dead inside, I can feel my life rotting away from me. Alongside other files were my memories of all the scars and lacerations on my skin, mostly on the back, where they targeted me the most.

"Where did these injuries and scars come from, Leon?" Said Dr.Lammy.

"Who do you think? Haven't you checked the whips, the hot branding iron, all of the weird weapons they had in this house? The fact that you need more information about this is just crazy. Are you stupid or blind!?" I yelled. I clenched my fists tightly. A new strong urge came over me, wanting me to kill her like before.

"I heard you killed them with a hatchet above the fireplace. And why did you mutilate them, why the repeated cutting into them?" Said Dr.Lammy, "You are a psychopath, and you almost ended up in a mental hospital because of the way you did it. I don't think you're actually insane, and neither does anyone else, so that's why you have a higher chance of going to prison instead."

"Does it matter how I killed them? You must enjoy hearing about how they went out...what next, you want me to tell you how loud they scream and how much blood was all over!?" I yelled.

Suddenly, she showed me the same Iron that I got branded with, and a few of the whips.

"Well, there were bits of skin left on this iron, and it was still warm when retrieved. And it matches the mark on your back, it says "Failure", right? It looks messed up...like it was smeared. What does that mean?" beside the iron were various whips in a wardrobe.

Noah did it. It hurt, it cooked me; now that scar is stuck with me fore the rest of my life, it may never go away. So if you're wondering why I did this, I think you should have figured that out already. I am done talking to you." I shut her off and just looked away. I can't stand her she was just as selfish as they were.

"No, this isn't how it works. You have to talk to me. And if you don't, you will be put into isolation until you can keep yourself under control. I can tell them you tried to attack me. No one is watching us, there's no invisible glass or hidden cameras, and I'm sure they would believe me over a murderer!" She yelled seriously.

I stayed quiet, lips sealed. I didn't say any more words, just silence. After a moment, she stood up and walked to the door. "Okay, I think you made yourself clear, I hope you have a nice life in hell." Said Dr.Lammy.

Before I knew it, I was sent right to prison. Inside my cell, right across a slightly empty section. Next to me were very few inmates; other than that, that place was quiet and dark. But one looked different, surprisingly like me. Almost like my own flesh and DNA.

The day passed as he kept his distance. Brooding and silent, we were not so different in behavior. I went to the courtyard outside, where many inmates would work out or do things that many people who weren't bright would do. I smelled stuff like weed and other drugs.

A few weeks passed, and I was sent back into the same room. I was given another chance to talk. Dr. Lammy sat across my me with her arms folded and impatience.

"Leon, I think I found a way to get you to speak. I found these old criminal records from two other people, and even a cult." Said Dr.Lammy.

Yeah, right, as if she could say a few words to get my attention.

"I got some information, Leon. About your past. Many of them will leave you with questions, but if you talk to me, tell me what really drove you to the madness, and I will answer your questions." Said Dr.Lammy. "...Noah and Tamm Parsey weren't your real parents, and your real name was Leon Josh Tyromus. Your real mother was Yuri Perry Tyromus. She was Puerto Rican. You grew with ninety percent less melanin than you needed."

I looked up and felt my heart skip a beat as soon as she mentioned my mother. My real mother? Yuri? Puerto Rican? Dead or Alive? "Real, mother?"

"Unfortunately, she died shortly after you were born. Sorry that...you will never get to meet her. It's a shame. The funny thing was...she was known to be infertile. Not only that, but two other babies were born in the same area that day. Their names were Callith Enix and Callum Marty."

"I have...two brothers? What happened? Why didn't I hear about this my whole life. Why do they both have mug shots?" I said. Has my whole life been a lie? I stared at the photos of them. What did they do?

"I don't know...you tell me. You all murdered your parents. Somehow, I think you all might have been hiding the fact that you had no idea each other existed, because this isn't a coincidence that you all happened to be convicted of the same crimes in your juvenile years." Said Dr.Lammy.

"I planned nothing. I bet they didn't plan anything either. You're crazy, you think that somehow we telepathetically spoke to each other and planned something kind of big murder?" I said.

"That is out of the discussion, Leon. Besides, I don't know where Callith is. For all I know, he could be in this same prison, but I will find out soon enough and ask him questions." Said Dr.Lammy.

"This is the last time I am telling you...I wasn't planning anything about killing anyone; I did it because I snapped." I said.

"Well, when Callith tells me the truth, that you three planned this...you can say goodbye to your life. You and Callith, when I find out where he is. I will put you both down." Said Dr.Lammy

She got up and left. The door closed, and the darkness was all I had inside, the fire burning into my mind, burning away my sanity.

"How could you not know where my brothers are? You know so much about everything else. What kind of business are you pulling exactly? Because it doesn't feel right to me, even if I am guilty, you won't have the right to put me down; you can't decide my fate. You can't just walk away from this. You wanted me to talk, I told you what you needed to hear." I said.

That was it, she was gone. And I have to find out what was going on. I went back to my cell, sitting on what bed I had. All night I was awake thinking about everything about my existence. That's when I hear another voice from the other cell next to me. "You alright? I feel something about you, not evil...but pain, guilt, and hatred."

I fell asleep, dreamed. I was in a place of darkness. A dark voice talked to me. "I know how you, Leon, want to kill again. Once you spill blood, you can never truly stop. That is why I am created, I am only your dark side, your inner demons you held back all these years before you snapped and set me free. I am not afraid to admit that I enjoy chaos, suffering, destruction, and death. This world can crumble under our feet. I am only a part of you, Leon."
