The sky still carried darkness when Mason, Laura, Elias, and Lior reached the end of the tunnel, but it was not empty as expected. Standing before them was the sunny-haired right hand of the rogue leader.
"Sunny," Elias choked out the name, a little relieved for reasons he couldn't place his mind around.
"This way, Elias," Sunny whispered.
Elias and the others were yet to react when Sunny moved swiftly and swept Elias off his feet.
"I don't know what deal your husband had with the queen, but with the number of soldiers making their way through the secret tunnels, I fear Elena has plans of her own."
Elias glanced at the others, but Sunny tucked behind a wall, and just when they thought things couldn't get bad… they were armed and marched in like men in war.
"What the hell is this?" Elias murmured, but no one could give an answer.
The hidden group stayed hidden, and fortunately, the baby was sleeping. They watched the men carry arms and other objects.
