I won't say it, but my house is located in a rather creepy place, surrounded by woods and a decades old abandoned house not so far away
I remember a story from a few years back that I would like to share with you
That was a thunderous night when I got a call from my old friends. They were 4 people and were both couples. Both I and my wife had known them for a long time as my wife was also a childhood friend of mine
We were like best buddies. My friends called just after dusk and told me that they were traveling across the town and their car broke down. They told me that they can not see any mechanic down there and asked me a good place to spend the night.
My house was not far away, so out of courtesy I asked them to stay the night at my house. My wife also agreed to it and my friends also become happy
I kept talking to them, explaining to them the address and asking if they needed anything else. As soon as I finished explaining the address, I was shocked by a flash of strong lightning. My friend asked me if I was ok and I told him not to worry
A moment later, I heard another thunder on my mobile phone, accompanied by screams from the girls. I was terrified and I kept asking them if they were alright. There was complete silence on the phone except for the rain that was making a sweet yet horrid voice
I was shocked very much and I told my wife about it. Whatever happened was not natural. I sat down on the table with my hand holding my head tight. My wife was busy in the kitchen making food for the guests and she came to me after seeing my condition and told me that everything's gonna be alright
I went into my room and lay down thinking of what might have happened with my buddies when suddenly I heard a raging knock on my house's door.
I went to the door, hoping my best that it was my friends and I opened the door. To my surprise, they were my friends, the guests I had been waiting for. But still, somehow, I couldn't process all that and wasn't ready to believe that after what happened on the phone they still were standing in front of me.
Their faces? well… they too looked a bit pale with dark circles, more than ever apparent. I casually greeted them and asked what had happened to them and why did they not answer me, hoping that they might be pulling an insane prank. They said that they lost connection and skipped the point and proceeded to meet with my wife.
Anyways, I was pretty sure that I heard rainfall on the phone and there was no chance that they lost signals there.
As soon as they entered my house, a strange aura started spreading around the whole house. I usually suffer a lot from flu and other nasal diseases so I thought it might be another delusion and decided not to bring it about
It was not so late at night, so we sat in the living room, just having a casual discussion. My friends tried their best to behave normally but I knew something fishy was happening there. After having a good talk, we sat down for dinner. As soon as they sat there, I and my wife noticed a slight change in their behavior
They were not eating to their full, picking up a bite and then leaving it back in the plate. They were not talking much and their facial expressions also faded. I asked them if anything was wrong with the food, but they all responded with unsettling grins, telling me that everything was fine.
Both I and my wife knew something odd was happening but we hesitated to discuss it with each other. After enjoying the tasty meal, as it got quite late. I took the guests to their rooms and as soon as I opened the door, what I saw made me scream like hell.
