Chapter 3 - Going Out

Towering buildings scraping through the skies, partnered with the busy atmosphere that surrounds everything in the vicinity, add to that the highly developed and urbanized look of this place, with paved roads wider enough for multiple lanes to exist, a well-organized traffic system, along with the advanced technology that one can see wherever their eyes go.

It doesn't stop from that as diverging from the usual billboard screens used for advertisements that one can often, if not always see whenever they are going outside, this highly advanced city utilizes a different technology to inform the people passing through, with light projections creating three-dimensional image of whoever it is that is being projected into this city's skies, making it appear more realistic and convincing.

If one were to allow their eyes to roam around, they can easily see the name of this lively, and clearly technologically advanced place, a name that one will often see in the signages of directions and other information, said place's name being Crimson Red City, a place that is located just a few minutes of travel away from the Initus Sanctuarium, a massive, sacred and indestructible mega structure that serves as all of the beginner's entry point in the tower.

Said beginners can often be seen coming out of this structure, then heading out to one of the seven starting cities that is waiting to teach them in order to prepare them for the most awaited moments of each and every single person that enters this place, performing the missions issued to them, conquering the trials on each floor and ascending to higher floors to chase for even better rewards, riches, glory and power.

"Man~~ seeing these kids rush towards those training facilities sure bring me back~~" watching as clear newbies were rushing towards what is known to be the 'bonus stage' of the starting cities, the young man who just left his home said with a reminiscing smile on his face, the owner reaching something from the shelf just in front of her looking as she hears the young man's remarks, smiling before handing him a vial that holds a thick, bright red liquid in it.

"You make it sound like you're way older than them when you're just a couple of years older than them kid, it makes me feel like such an old hag hearing you speak like that, hohoho~" looking at the young man in front of her, the lady owner of this shop said with a clear smile plastered on her face already adorned with wrinkles here and there, making her appear quite mature rather than reducing her charms, charm that is obviously quite great when she is younger than she currently is.

"Aunty Eri, you sure have your way of fishing for compliments, don't you?" hearing these words from the lady for almost every single day already, the young man pointed out causing the lady to smile even wider as she waves her hand dismissively, knowing that this young customer of hers had already caught on to her little tricks.

"Thanks for this, Aunty Eri, by the way, you doesn't look old at all, in fact, you look more like a sister than an aunt~~" the young man said with a smile on his face before he starts walking out of this small shop seemingly catered for the needs of people like him, taking one last look at the thick red liquid swirling around the small vial before he carefully placed it on the bag he is carrying, the expression on his face changing as he closes the door to the shop.

"Hohoho~~ that kid sure knows his ways with words~~" the lady said with a smile on her face hearing the second part of the young man's words, a nod of approval escaping from her as she starts cleaning the products displayed on the shelf once more, all while remembering the times that this young man still has those familiar figures together with him.

"I wonder, how far did those other kids climb up already?" she asked herself as her gaze wandered towards the direction of the door once again, seemingly looking at the young man no longer there as a sigh of pity escaped from her before she started muttering once again.

"He has the highest potential among all of them, just why is it that he refuses to ascend to the next floor?"

----------

Treading a main road seemingly leading everyone outside the city, the young man, feeling that he already prepared everything that he needs, smiles as he thought to himself that it is another day of hunting outside once again, his stride you can tell and differentiate from the complete beginners that just started their career in the tower, his movements carrying the both the air of confidence and experience, as if he had already done this thing hundreds, if not thousands of times before.

"Hey, I heard that there are a lot of field monsters in the way, are you sure we can deal with them?"

"You think that training in the beginner facilities is for nothing? I think we can even go straight to the main trial and directly ascend to the second floor!"

"Hahaha, that's true, after all, everyone among us appears to awaken some good and useful skills, so I doubt this beginner's place would be any challenge to us at all."

Hearing the words from one group of beginners who appears to be way too eager to go outside, the young man couldn't help but smile wryly, something that he immediately stopped as he thought of something to himself, refusing to do anything else as he doesn't want to attract too much attention, attention that he can all too easily attract especially when the nerves of this beginners are running at an all-time high given this is going to be their first experience, meaning that while they are more aware of their own surroundings, they are also far more irritable than they will usually be.

'Well, they will learn about it eventually' he added in his mind as he stopped to peek at the impressive sight right in front of him, a massive gate blocking the way from the Crimson Red City to the outside world, to the rightful place where ascenders like them thrive.
