I haven't called his name since the incident. It is a miracle I wasn't strong enough mentally to see any of them and not flip out of my cool. I was that angry. Everything I ever lost has been Axel's fault. Now, we were meant to give him an offer that he can't refuse? I didn't know how that was supposed to work. Not with the kind of man that was my ex-husband.
"I don't think he is going to sign it?" I breathed. "I know that it is an offer he can't refuse but coming from me, it's only going to make him more agitated." I wasn't ready to face him yet. Levi tilted his head, studying my every move.
"You don't want to see him. Do you still love him?"
"I can't possibly be in love with someone who has ruined my life. We had our lives, but that's just it. Past and gone." I didn't know if it was the truth, but something died inside of me when I found out that Axel was the cause of my downfall. Or when he was consistently choosing Kyra and her baby over me, his legal wife.
